story for the day...

coming home from work, got a co-worker in the Camaro with me(knew I was getting the axe so drove it i the final voyage)... have 2 slow cars in front of me on a 2 lane road... pin the throttle... 80, 90(in a 55)... semi on the shoulder, oh sh*t he pulled over by a trooper... I look back and see him jumping in the SUV and tell my coworker Darby "hang on, he's coming, and i'm running'

pin it on down until we find a side road, turn onto it... a SCHOOL BUS is stopped with the red light flashing, but I notice a group of cars waiting to pick their kids up... so we go into the gravel lot... park and sit... the Trooper goes flying by... Dukes of Hazzard Style, then cuts a U-turn, Dukes of Hazzard Style, lol.. i'm like "f*ck it"... and don't even run... he comes up, asks me "whats the hurry"... I make up some sap story about just getting laid off, even show him the termination papers and how I was "pissed off"(never mind i'm starting a job Monday for MUCH more money, lol)... he then tells me it happened to his wife and lets me go.........with a VERBAL warning, lol... awesome:

got my Ferry call today, hire in Monday morning... my work schedule is about to go to s***, but depending on how long it lasts, is how fast the Camaro will end up being, lol... huge pay raise for at least the next month, could roll over and get to stay there all year, that would be awesome, I would probably get close to paying the car off if that happens

though I won't be working around the clock all year if that happens, just for 45-60 days... 6/12s but i'll survive... still get our double time day as well even though we don't work 7 days a week, Nuclear regulations no longer allow a Nuke plant to work 7 consecutive days, so we HAVE to have a day off in the week, but the 1st day back after our off day is a double time day, and the last day before our off day is a time and a half day... Double time days on TVA scale is nice


i'll probably spend most of next week in Chattanooga training, the actual outage starts April 7th and is "scheduled" for 45 days, but usually last 60-72 days, so for the next 2 months, probably won't be making any meets, lol...

going to a terrible track so hoping for the best, lol...

 

well we called the track, they told us they were going to be open 2 hours before race time, we gathered the troops... convoyed there about 10 cars deep..... lights off, gate locked....

so we all just decided to go eat food and then ride around... and I got a valuable lesson in life boys, girls riding around with me... she seems pretty cute................16 about to turn 17....

yeah, I QUICKLY got her out of my car... lol... you can't tell these days, she looked every bit of 21 or 22....

and the other day I found this girl I had assumed was like 16 or 17 for the past 4 or 5 months(never asked here age) is 23.... girls should have to wear I.D.s around their neckk these days

I mean I'll be the 1st one to admit I look young for my age, but I do at least look around 20-21... oh my friends thought it was f*cking hysterical, i'm glad they all laughed at me for looking like a damn pedo

Well the catless down pipe I bought on ebay came in today. I paid a whopping 40 bucks for it lol. It looks great, barely been used no leaks. I believe I'm going to take my CIA 3'' Spun Metal Catted one off and switch to this one to see how I like it then sell my catted one probably. I love finding deals on ebay lol now if I could just find a deal on some charge pipes since I still haven't bought any.

On another note, how is everyone doing? Not much activity from the bama crew lol.

 

I started ordering parts again today, but it'll be about 5 weeks or so before I get them all ordered and on... and i'm going to wait and do it all at once...

but it should be fun...

when I get done with this outage, we'll all have to schedule a track day at Steele one Friday night... mid/low 12s or bust

starting Monday i'm going to be working a lot in the next 5-7 weeks but it'll be worth it in the end, and when its over and I get time to get the car together, a trip to Steele is DEFINITELY happening, we'll be back on 4/10s or 5/8s after about the middle of May, possibly end of May

so if I quit posting in the next few weeks, no, i'm not dead, or at least I hope not... but my days will consist of getting up, driving to work, working 12 hours, driving home, getting a shower, eating... sleeping, going back to work... already warned everyone, i'm about to fall of the face of the Earth for a month or so, lol

the good news is after the outage they told us there will be NO overtime, so we'll be back on 40, just don't know how long the outage will be its scheduled for 30 days but TVA never does anything on time, that 30 days could end up being 90, lol
