well don't get used to launching the car stock... because when you tune it, you get to learn all over again, lol

had my 1st race tonight since the tune, ran a silver G35... we have a long ass bridge here(the guy from florence on here knows what i'm talking about) that is 3 lanes wide each way(its actually two bridges that run parallel to each other) and I had it get up beside me and start pacing me... its windows were blacked out(mine are dark at 20% but theses were REALLY dark) and before I know it, he hits it across the bridge... I downshift to 3rd(at about 55mph) and he already had a couple cars on me... but I ran him down... VERY fast, by the top of 4th(105ish?) I was already back even with him... I then let off(because the guy from florence also knows how cops on it are, lol)... he then stopped pacing me, lol
wasn't really a kill or even a race but I was obviously A LOT faster than he was

okay everyone the link that was provided is the developers link to the site. we gave it out so yall could see the progress. We are in great hopes that it will be live by tues but please dont get on there an register an try to order stuff yet. Its still in the building process. some east coast cobalts club, don't think they got the memo that Bama isn't on the East Coast, lol
and guys I may have a video of a run I had tonight... I got "called out" by a guy with a Cobra(like a '99, the new edge style but not supercharged)... its supposedly "runs 8.5s through the 1/8th on street tires"... I don't buy it...
well like I said I get called out and I tell him i'll only run 1/4(most guys had been racing 1/8th, not my thing) because he was on drag radials(me being on stock street tires, he was obviously going to jump me off the line)... so we go through the 1/4 and he got walked terribly... seriously MULTIPLE car lengths, I honestly thought he may have missed a gear or something, it was that terrible... my friends said there was confusion amongst the crowd(they didn't even think I should have went out there)... when he got back to where we all had gathered, I was already back and everyone asked him "did you miss a gear?"... he replied "no, and i even jumped him off the start"
well after that, the guy talked me into going through the 1/8th, I agreed... I spun a lot more this race and with his DRs, he had 2+ cars on me by the time I hit 2nd, but once again, I started walking him hard and as we passed the finish line, we were banging doors, one of the closest races I have ever been in... but 20 more feet and i'd had a half a car on him, i had closed up ground that fast
after that, no one wanted to run through the 1/4 and no one else even called me out... I had like 4 guys wanting to run before that race, that quickly ended
the good news is a few guys from another forum I was on were on hand to witness it, and several videos were shot for the night, maybe one will surface... good stuff
only one person there even knew they made a turbo Cobalt, the bad news is... my gig is up, now everyone will know its a pretty quick little car, lol... but tonight was fun, reminded me of the old days with the GTP and everyone being caught off guard by it... I mean anyone can buy a Mustang or a Camaro, throw a low set of gears and some DRs on it and make it quick through the 1/8th... but its much more enjoyable to take something they don't expect and beat them at their own game, while walking them through the 1/4... in a front wheel drive.........4 cylinder
