well got the car on the road yesterday...ran good however didnt pull like i thought it would so to make sure i was hitting the right psi i hooked up a boost gauge a buddy had b/c i thought for sure no problems would come of the internal wastegate and low and behold i was only running 4psi...so i started going over everything and find a loose clamp that was giving me a boost leak once i fixed this it was hitting 8psi like it was suppose to be and damn the little car pulls hard...air fuel is running 10.5-11.0 at WOT so it can be leaned out a little to make a little more power

setup is
b18b1 ::142hp stock::, si tranny ::short gears top speed is 130::, t3/t3 .63 trim turbo@8psi, 2.5 inch downpipe and exhaust, 450cc dsm injectors, resistor box, phearable chipped ecu, 43 psi fuel pressure, walbro 255 fuel pump, 14 degrees timing and gutted...untuned it should be around 230-240fwhp once i get it tuned im aiming for 250-260fwhp as this should put me around 300 or so at the crank which is my goal since my car only weighs 2k lbs max without me in it

Should be a quick little car being that light. Why did you go with only a 2.5" DP/exhaust? Post up some dyno results when you get them.

not planning going over 300hp at the moment....once i get that itch to get around 400fwhp im doing pistons, rods, arp everything, 70 trim turbo, pnp head etc, 1000cc injectors, stage 3 clutch and full 3 inch exhaust....this is aimed for later this year beginning of next year...on the current setup i should be good for low 12 on slicks....high 12's on street tires

ahh on the first post it should of been t3/t4

best night of racing ever, lol:

1st race:

'98-'04 Gt mustang, still had a dealer tag on it so I assume the guy just bought it... he went from 1st, to 2nd, to 1st, lol... I thought he had blew his **** sky high

next up, 135i bmw, old one, slow as ****, only reason I wasted my gas is it was driven by a wigger(can you say that here? lol) rolling 3-deep in his mom's old car...

next up: turbo miata- actually a decent race faster than I thought it be, still beat him pretty good

then the real fun started, I was about to take my friend home when I happened to see this guy with a Civic Si(newer one) that I used to work with, but never really liked, I just enjoy beating him in races, lol... beat him when I was stock and he was modded, killed him tune one, and tonight he had more mods... he had two Integra Type-Rs following him, so I do a U-turn and run them down... the guy tells me to "follow them"... so I do and we end up going to a popular spot here where a lot of car guys hang out... at 1st I didn't know anyone there, so i'm talking to this guy, who is a complete *******... I end up having to explain the concept of dual overhead cam, and that I don't need wires tapped into my ECM to do a custom tune, etc... he is going on about his "Hondata" and how he has it tuned for "dual Vtec" and what not... When he asked how much hp I had, I told him "around 285whp" and he told me "you have almost as much as me, but I can't race, I have a bad motor mount"(and he said that because in his going wot earlier, I never downshifted to 2nd at about 40 and still pulled on him, he has no where near 250whp, lol... and I heard something about getting a new Konig sticker for his back glass and at this point I was about to leave..... when I was saved by some people I knew rolling in: another turbo Miata, a Vortec Supercharged Cobra(485whp on 6-psi, forged block, ready for A LOT more boost, ultra conservative right now) and some of their friends... end up shooting the **** with them and diassociating with the ricers... we all head out to another spot and the ricers follow... at this point we meet up with about 25 MORE people, a lot of them from the Huntsville drift forums... turns out, they know the ricer that I used to know who followed us and they too all hate him... so one of the guys comes up with this bright idea of us all getting in our cars(the honda boys were in their little circle by themselves) and we all drive over about 30 yards and all park... they finally took a hint and left, lol...

that is pretty much all that happened and I guess its one of those you had to be there type moments, but it was pretty funny/awkward...

and if anyone ever wants to come up for a meet and maybe so other activities that happen in remote locations, let me know... we've got a nice group again

I might shoot over there in the HHR SS one night and for sure in the Van when its done. The Van is almost ready to be done, pulled the trans back out already and put a new pivot ball/clutch release fork in (what a pain in the ass for a 15 min swap). Yesterday put on a new OEM timing pulley and idler pulley and found the source to my slow oil drip. The oil pump shaft seal had a slow ooze to it, waiting for that part to come this week and the car will be ready to bolt on the turbo parts and tune. Bad news is, there is no AWD Dyno around so I will have to tune it myself on the street, lucky thing the whole engine is forged

you'd have fun Paul, there is someone for everyone to race... we have high horspower cars that would put 10+ bus lengths on me, to guys who race fairly stock civics, miatas, etc... domestics, imports, all welcome... only thing we ask, is that you aren't a dumb ass who tries to talk a lot of **** without knowing ****, I know you Paul so you'll be alright, and I mean if you don't know ****, well that is fine, a lot of guys just like cars and are there to hang out, no one really judges that

perfect examples of being a dumb ass:

trying to sell me a header for my Cobalt from your Honda Civic

pulling up in your 1995 Camaro Z28, bragging about your LS1(which confuses all of us), popping the hood, and we all see the damn LT1

talking about going UP in your pulley size to run more boost

talking about how you had a camaro that would do 0-100 in "around 5 seconds" on street tires

we also have some pretty unique/bad ass rides... couple of V8 swap imports, a Supercharged R/T Dakota(been wanting to run him, have not seen or heard his truck got WOT but it sounds bad ass idling), like 3 turbo Miatas, a S14 Silvia, couple of built 240Sxs, couple DSMs, several f-bodies, Mustangs, Lightnings, etc... like I said no one really hates on the makes though there are a "couple" who think they are holier than thou with their setup, but if they're domestic owners, they have(or could) be beaten by import guys, and if they're import guys, they probably don't want any of the blown/turbo f-bodies and Cobras

for example, at most meets they'd all hate on the one guy who pulls up in a SS cobalt, label him "domestic rice" and be done with it, but they all love my car and try to get me to race unsuspecting people, lol

so I guess now is a good time to say, i'm alive...

spent the weekend in the hospital(joy), though it was scheduled... had to have a surgery called a Heller Myotomy(to cure a condition called Achalasia, the surgery involves cutting the muscle that creates the bottle neck between your esophagus and stomach, removing the bottleneck, they then wrap a part of your stomach over it to create a tension to fight reflux), not too serious, just made me sore as **** and I can't eat meat or anything for like 2-3 weeks, along with no alcohol, so that sucks...

good news is, well, I didn't die, lol... and don't have cancer or anything... plus I get a week off work and have an excuse to lay on the couch all day eating Jello and ice cream...

also turned 25 Monday and got some new quotes on Auto Insurance, will now save $40/month.. down to $95/month full coverage with a $250 deductible, not bad considering i'm not married... I also didn't save that by switching to Geico, those bastards wanted to shove their premium right up my ass... $167/month, **** that

oh yeah, Paul, my brakes are ******* shot at 22,000 miles... just the rear ones, front ones still look good(well, I mean they look like **** but function properly)... the rear ones started scrubbing last week, the night before my surgery, took the car for a spin today(1st time driving since last week, felt great) and yeah, they sound terrible... still going to TRY my luck with the dealer, car goes in tomorrow... not expecting anything, already pricing parts... it just sucks, they've been shitty since 3,500 miles and if I were you, I'd go ahead an plan accordingly, lol

took out 3 of the butterfly stitches because they were through itching, so I assume they had healed up, lol... no bleeding afterwards, so I guess I am good to go, it was all laserscopic so shouldn't scar too bad

Glad your surgery went great. Its always good when you don't die on the operating table

I have a brake squeal at low mph stop and go right now, I figure I will end up replacing them. I friggin hate GM rotors, the last 2 new GM cars I've owned the rotors have warped about 2 times on each car (replaced under warranty) and I said screw it and ended up buying some after market rotors and pads.

I have college to finish up, my last test this semester is at the end of April , but I also have a Softball rec league I'm on and finishing up the project vehicle. So between time and money its a no go this time around unfortunately.

its probably for the best, I know a couple people who now live in Memphis that I used to hang out with in my younger years and would probably end up meeting up with them after the meet, which would probably end with me wishing i'd just stayed out of Memphis... or maybe away from them, lol... good group of guys, always ended up in trouble with them, trouble always had a way of finding us... could be start as something harmless and end with 4 patrol units and us having a future court date

****edit****

oh ****, I was thinking it was NEXT Saturday(the 24th) not this Saturday... well **** the Memphis meet, i'll be in Tuscaloosa... and do you guys know how bad it ******* blows to be going to Tuscaloosa and NOT be able to hit the Houndstooth for drinks(no alcohol for 2-3 weeks), very ******* badly... oh well, at least is the A-Day game...

yes Paul, here in Alabama its football season year around:

late January-February: recruiting

March: Spring workout/evaluating the early enrollees

April: A-day

Summer: Summer Workouts/evaluating summer enrollees

August: Beginning of Practices/watching the depth chart get set

Fall: beating Penn State's ass(lol), continuing Southern Takeover

December: Annual Stop to Atlanta, collecting Awards

January: Winning Championships

that is how we do things down here
