I still want to run that stock LS2 vette... I think it'd be a lot better of a race than they think
and basically what you missed Josh is I had posted on there asking about who drove this SS trailblazer with a madison tag, because I had ran it here and it was obviously modded... I won but not by much, and considering I was walking stock TB SS's had wanted to know what was done to it, etc...
a **** storm ensued, no Cobalt could beat a LS2 anything(even though I posted time sips faster than some MODDED TB SS's).. long story short that goes from TB SS to some douche bag in a LS2 Vette on DRs wanting to race me, though I conceded the 1/8th mile to him by a lot as he'd get off the line better than me... at 1st in a race from a roll, he said he'd walk me... then he did some research on turbo cobalts and said "it'd be close"... then later changed it to "you might win from a gay roll"... in which case I told him i'd love to run him through the 1/4 as I think its going to be MUCH closer than they think it would be(still never said I'd beat him) and that 1/8th mile drag racing is red neck racing, in which anyone with a set of DRs and some tall gears will be quick... that ruffled some more feathers
btw this vette dynoed like 355whp(its tune only not "stock" but pretty much), i'm thinking i'm around 310-315whp(give or take) and have about 400lbs of weight on him(closer to 500, not to mention Harley the guys who drives it weighs like 300lbs, I weigh 155 soaking ass wet)... so once again, not saying I would walk him, not saying I would even beat him but they seem to think this is a mid 12 second car racing a mid 14 second car....
and I think from 40is to 130ish I would win... I know what my car can do against a relatively stock '03 Cobra, and I know what a C6 LS2 Vette will do against one of those as well, I like my chances

decided to ditch my current CAI setup, just ordered the Hahn... Turbo Tech had them on sale decided to get one, they look 10Xs better than the stock setup and as far as getting them tuned, the Hahn is what terminator discovered to be the "best" available, of Injen, AEM, and Hahn... K&N has one coming out but its a short ram which will give a lot of trouble

On a side note, a little birdie told me OTTP is releasing a CAI for the HHR SS very soon, that mounts over the radiator like the corvette CAI. About damn time someone came out with one for us.
too bad, already paid for it Paul, lol
and I ran a Hot air intake "air charger" from K&N on my old GTP, ended up ditching it for the fenderwell CAI because of tuning issues as well... I mean i'm not saying the K&N is junk, i'm just saying lets wait until more than 2 people have good results with it...
2 people had good results with Injen
more than 2 people have had good luck with AEM
the best tuners have switched over to Hahn
catch my drift... the jury is still out
I'm going to guess that more than likely with just about any of them you COULD tune them to run properly... for example, that is what Terminator did with the AEM, he had it running great on his car, then the elbow collapsed and he was getting some surge(which I am getting now and is why I was going to go back to the stock elbow, until the Hahn went on sale)... he never tried the Injen I don't believe, but I think blueberry did(one of the "respected" tuners did and said it sucked)... he said the Hahn was by far easier to tune than the complete AEM kit or the stock air box with AEM elbow(my setup now)...
I didn't want to go back stock because I love the sound of the turbo spooling and the BPV... call it ricerish, but its an addicting sound

I wish I had so many options for a CAI.
I knew the Hahn was considered the best one out so far for your cars, just thinking it might have been a good idea to wait 2 weeks to find out the results of the K&N with the heat shield, since it just got released. While all of them can be tuned right, as we have seen, the ones that are closer to factory trims are way easier to keep in check with tuning. Either way I'm sure you will be happy with it.

90% of this site just freaks out because their fuel trims are off a little.... honestly that is the one thing I hate about that interceptor gauge...
turn that off the car runs great, feels great.... I mean honestly a -3% LTFT isn't a make or break for your cars power...
Term is fantastic with maf tuning.... I honestly don't have the time I'll get it close and then it's good enough... most of the guys I tune are in a hurry or like Gestapo007 I just tuned his car before he got the intake so I didn't have a chance to even tune him except throw a base map HAHN maf table in it... which worked great on my car not so much on his.
its kind of funny we are having this discussion because in the K&N topic:

Van is almost ready for tuning, if I can get the O2 bung welded on the dp and the bov flange welded to the uicp this week I could be tuning as soon as next week
Well its a 96 Eagle Summit wagon technically but it looks like a micro van, they also made a Dodge colt and Mitsubishi Expo LRV all the same body styles. They come with 1.8 motors or the mitsubishi 2.4 4G64 motor (what I have), in auto or manual, fwd or awd.
Think of micro van that seats 5 (2 doors with a sliding door), awd, 5 spd with a a Mitsu 4G64 motor (basically the same a s 4G63 T motor that came out of the eclipse/talon but has more torque down low but is NA from the factory), rebuilt and forged internally, turbocharged with a Mitsubishi TDO6-20g turbocharger, the van weighs 2750 lbs.
I know its hard to picture but the van is actually shorter then my HHR SS
The HHR SS is my other toy and as soon as I figure out on big wheel upgrade or FP 68HTA turbo upgrade I'll know whats going on with tunes.

let me know when this meet is for sure, i'm going to take off that Sunday night... so i'll be good if you all want to do it on a Sunday... the trip to the beach is fucked(thanks BP!) and we just scrapped it all together...
Amazing the power and grip the ****** oil companies have on the USA and there economy. You can blame the greedy ass politicians for all this crap, it amazes me they let BP basically try to get the oil under control (so they can get more oil out of the disaster), instead of making them stop the leak immediately by sealing the ******* pipe. 1 month later after BP realizes they can't harvest any more oil without leaking it all over the gulf they decide to plug it up, ******* rediculous.
