ill make the thread, but my license had been suspended in january and i didnt know it and we met this guy up there with a turboed Scion TC and people said we were holding up traffic going down the mountain and we got pulled over and they ran my license and got me haha, but yeah i see how it is both ways, last time we met in nashville close to vanderbuilt football field and stopped and talked for alil then went to I-65 towards brentwood so a cruise about 15 minutes then went to the mall there and took some pictures there then went in and ate, then at about 6:30 7:00 we went to Burgers and cream about 5 minutes away and they have a car meet there on saturday nights, then at about 8:45 9:00 we went down 840 towards murfreesboro for the EOR car meet where there is about 70 to 100 people that show up on saturday nights, as in cars lol, but its sweet having 20 or plus cobalts cruisin up and downthe interstates and then all rolling up at the same time!! haha it was great!!!

I bet that was one hell of a time hanging out with a bunch of like-minded people and then rollin down the highway blockin traffic with 20 cobalts would be awesome. AND to top it all off, rollin up to a cruise in 20+ deep. Damn sounds fun.

yeah and since we had that first meet, that kind of got the word out to let people know we are serious about these meets and that way next meet we'd hopefully be able to have even more show up, just trying to get the word out, but next one needs to be on a saturday again no matter where its at, but only reason i chose nashville last time was because that is pretty much smack center of alot of major cities

 

Yeah it seems to be the perfect place to meet but i have a feeling there a people who wouldnt be able to come because they would have to drive a couple of hours. Once band is over most of my Saturdays should be free so after Nov. 14th i'm game for anything

Dude you don't even know but i gotta get a few things straight and thats gonna take at least two more weeks. I want that car sooooo freaking bad. I've wanted a Cobalt SS since 2005. Just after freshman year of high school I went to the Coke 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway and the day before the race we went to some party in downtown Charlotte and there was a Chevy booth there with the new Vette, Z71, Jeff Gordon's stock car, and the brand new Chevy Cobalt SS that had only been out a few months. I told my dad that day that I would own a Cobalt SS one day. Then I found out the Turbo was coming out and i had to have it that much more and soon I'm going to finally have one. AHHHH!!! I can't wait!

 

yea that's kinda my problem, i would try and make it though. those damn student loans suck ass

 

nick i was the same way about the cobalt i got mine brand new in 06 no dealerships had ss or would have them for awhile when i bought mine which sucks but at the time i got the only black 2 door for sale in the city sucks thats its the 2.2 i wanted the ss but could not wait on a car

 

Is this the cobalt meet at IA for is there going to be a totaly different meet for cobalts and friends

 

The meet he is talking about is Import Alliance and it's happening THIS SUNDAY in Nashville. I know one or two people going. This is not the one advertised on the homepage.

yeah the IA meet is totally different from the cobalt meet that we will have in the next month or so, but anyone have any ideas for the up coming cobalt meet? of course there wont be any charge, cause who likes payin money lol, but only money you would need would be for food or anything you'd like to buy or anything as such, but last meet like several others know it turned out very well and everyone had fun im sure, but if you have any ideas or concerns or general thoughts lets talk about them and get this party started lol

Ok so I figure that first we have to decide where we are gonna hold it and after that i guess comes the when. Once we get that straightened out we can figure out what to do and such.

 

i'm in hendersonville, just outside of nashville. I vote for a nashville meet. it would be easier for me to get a sitter for the kids so i could go, but i'm cool with gatlinbug/pigeon forge area. i know a few cobalts in this area. I'd love to see some more and see what all they have done to their cars.

 

i vote franklin. ill probably show up at import alliance. it was pretty cool last time.

I just realized that this is what a car club president is for. because people as a collective can't make a descision and we arent gonna be able to either i can already tell someone is just gonna have to decide and start the thread and let everyone else come as they please. I think a solution to this would be to have three a year. Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis. Thats just my .02˘
