just wondering just got my new ss/sc

 

idk bout raleigh but i know a few that are down here in the Charlotte area that i have hung out with

 

I'll drive up to raleigh if you're gonna have a party or something.

 

im about to get one, i live in fuquay-varina but go up to capital and other surrounding areas.

 

I try and go to capital every so often what kind of cobalt is it going to be? what color? i will say this i was happy because as far as i knew i was the only ss/sc in the cary raleigh area for a bit lol kinda that unquie thing

 

There are a couple of guys up in Raliegh... Deaf Dog... Jaysonk12... probably more by now... haven't heard much from them lately.

 

Bout 45 minutes south of raliegh, but i live for guitar center soooo...

 

Yeah, I'm always searching on this forum for a local ss/sc. I live in Durham & have a black 05' with a few bolt ons. I responded to your post yesterday. I've tried to get in touch with another local guy, Deaf_Dog, & haven't heard anything. Do you know of a good place to Dyno? The only one I know of is Performance Auto in Durham.

Sorry for the late response, I was out of town all weekend. Deaf_Dog has a ss not a sc, but he has done some mods to it & last time I saw his car it looked sweet. I haven't seen his car at his work in a long time & don't know if he has it still. I wish more peeps in our area were on this site, I know there are quite a few around now. Some time soon we'll have to cruise down to hang with the Charlotte or even the Fayetteville guys.

I just got mine on Tuesday, and love it! I'm waiting for my Corsa exhaust to come in at Hendrick Chevy in Cary, for them to install it, and will probably do a CAI soon. I'm known to get into trouble with modding, spent around $14k in mods to my GTP a couple years back (www.cardomain.com/ride/639933/1). I would love to get together with y'all sometime. I actually have some experience modding Gm SC vehicles. And there is a great dyno in Garner, RPM. I had those guys do my cam, rockers and intercooler in my GTP, and they know their ****! They're across from Agri Supply off of 70. We should get a few of us together and go by there sometime.

LOL ya i just got the cell with a new number this past week ive never been good with numbers and once i got the old number finally memorized, she got me a new phone. WHICH SUCKS cause i dont know the new number. i use to go to durham and work there alot but now im manly in rtp and cary.

not usually, i try to stay on my side of town on the weekend (nights), avoids unwanted attention when i have too much fun and have to drive all the way home. I was thinking of getting my car dynoed soon (hopefully before the Corsa exhaust gets put on), in order to get good baseline numbers, and know how much I haev added over the years. I'll let you know when I decide to go, and you're welcome to come watch, or even participate. I'll probably try to stop by and get prices Tuesday night at RPM, after I get off of work.

 

beerman let me know if you go to rpms on tuesday and what time? were do u work at?

 

I work at a small company off of Poole rd called Axon, so I will be there around 5:15-5:20 on Tuesday.

 

I forgot to mention, I don't plan on gettting dynoed tuesday, I'm just gonna find out how much it would be for a coupe of pulls. I will alteast have to wait until i get my next paycheck (finances still a little tight after buying the car).

 

I work in Cary near Henricks Chevy & wouldn't mind rolling over to RPM with you guys or meeting up there on Tuesday. Beerman, what Corsa exhaust did you say you're getting? I've got the Corsa touring exhaust & I just put on a CAI. Give me a call if you want, my # is 632-5072.
