hey casey...ever decide what your doing on tuning yet?

 

Cool man, yea i should be home in a couple weeks and i have a lot of stuff i ordered, Carbon Fiber trunk, RKsport side skirts, sway bar, strut bar, egt gauge, devils own meth kit...gotta stop at Matts to get retuned then to the bodyshop!

 

whats up guys im new to the area its a military thing! sux but i wanna know whats up on the meets so ima keep checkin this stuff everyday!! also if anyone close to goldsboro would possibly have a stock downpipe and muffler for sell that would be so bada**! hopefully ill see you all around look for a ss/sc red lowerd and reall loud since im running outt the headers cuz i blow the down pipe!

 

There were two new Turbo Balts running at the Fayetteville track today, anybody know where they are? didn't get a chance to talk to them.

ther were two black ones.

The faster one had an intercooler and side exit exhaust. Best i saw from him was 13.3

the other one looked like they tried to paint it flat black, i saw him run a 14.2, i doubt either were extremely good drivers.

 

If you get side exhaust then how do you cover the hole in your back bumper....?

I was thinking about doing this and ran into that problem lol. Getting side exhaust is cheap, especially for me since i dont even have a muffler. Even save that restricitive over the axle bend

 

The black one with the intercooler and side exhaust was Larson. Who is now slower than before... doesn't seem to realize that turbo cars need "SOME" backpressure... so 3" catless downpipe, and 3" side exit exhaust = NO BACK PRESSURE

hmmm...drews car seems to be running fine with that exhaust setup....idk....haven't heard back from him though on if he has run at the track recently.

 

i swear he made 20 back to back passes, he needed to give that car a minute to cool off. I wanted to punch him.

I also think i saw that car on post rolling around.

he didn't fill it, and he has a gay ass fart can for a muffler, that looks rediculous coming out the side.

 

oooohhh well that sucks.seen an ss\sc with dialies out the back and it looked pretty ****. but first i gotta find out why my cel went on at the track

 

Hey don't be knockin' the fart cans unfortunately since I was blessed with having no rear lip that is what I am going to do so I have something besides just pipe shown under the car!

 

Noticed a badass looking blacked out ss/sc at the service station on Leesville Rd in RAL near the BP/McD the other day, might be an employee? Any takers?

 

Bumping the Carolina Thread. Also saw a white sedan SS/TC on north bound 540 in RAL today about 2PM at exit 4, looked a lot like 1badblueberrysc's balt.

 

I see a black SC in Hemby Bridge at the Texaco Quick lube place from time to time, never have stopped in to see who has it but we have passed on Idlewild a few times. Wondering if they browse the forums, probably not cause if they did would seem they would try what I am doing, trying to find out who has that ugly yeller SC.

 

Coming from G-Vegas, heading west on 540, bout 3 weeks ago I saw a nice SC white sedan...anyone? Anyway, 540 seems to be some magical cobalt magnet.

 

True. I usually see a vic red ss/sc, a white ss/tc sedan, a white ss/tc coupe, a silver ss/na, and of course my silver ss/tc on 540 almost everday, all between exit 1 and 7. Then there's the black one right off of 540/leesville rd at the BP station, and a silver wingless ss/?? right before the 540 change on 40, and a vic red ss/?? on 40 before 540 too. Damn...I pay more attention to cobalts driving by, then the actual road. I think its kind of like a punch buggy, only for cobalt drivers. MY GF gets so tired of hearing me say "Another cobalt" or "Let me see if I can catch up to that cobalt to see if its a na/sc/tc."

If I keep looking for balts, I will be the silver ss/tc wrecked on 540...fail.

My cobalt's name is Bean, so everytime i see another balt i am like, "BEAN!!!" My fiance had to figure it out with me, I can only call SS cobalts "bean" and all the other ones are just plain "balts." That way I dont get all worked up over a rental car or something. When we are on road trips I am ALL ABOUT spotting me some cobalts! lolz

 

I'm sure that was me. I am always on 540 work on Capital Blvd. and live in Brier Creek! As far as I know I am still the only one around these parts!

...i never noticed that there was no rear lip on the sedan ss/tc. That kinda sucks. One of my favorite parts of the cobalts. hides half of a fart can lol

 

Yulp, no rear lip... it's fine with me. It is actually growing on me.

IMO the only cobalt ss sedans that look good are white. Drop it, and take off the spoiler. Crazy clean... I thought about trading my tc coupe in for a summit sedan or a sport red tint coat coupe, but my payments are already too much.

 

WOOT... mine has the tiny spoiler which will stay. Drop and black wheels are coming soon!
