cutout question

so i put a cutout on and sounds amazing. really deep sounding and the turbo sounds awesome. but i took my cat out in the middle of the car and replaced it with the y-pipe for the cut out. but honestly i felt like i lost power with it open. it feels so much better with it closed. i mean is this just me in my head or what? did i put it in the wrong place? should i re locate or what please help!!! also im tuned on 23psi. HELP!!

Well having the cutout open and Ure tuned with it closed it'll Skew the tune a Lil bit. You do lose lowend but topend you get some more power due to the lack of back pressure.
