Bump!!!!! This is going to be a lot bigger than it appears folks. LOTS of people showing up. Not only Cobalts, but many different cars. This isn't going to be a competition of any kind or anything like that, this is just going to be a big meet where we can all kinda meet the local people, as well as people who are interested in the car scene.

Of all people, you should be one of the few that know the most. How bad does it make us look when one of the MAIN members doesn't even know the details?

Show up at Rent and Roll friday and I'll fill you in. We've been talking about this for forever man...

So is anyone besides us showing up?

$10 per person to get into the ship (posted in the first post), parking fee (+ or - $2), cost of gas and food (lunch and dinner). We do NOT encourage street racing, but if it happens, it happens. Come to RNR friday if you find the time and we'll talk about it. I sent a txt out monday and posted it in the MGC thread.

Being there I would suspect everyone would like to take a tour of the USS Alabama and the USS Drum...but it isn't required...at least not when I was there last.

That's what I planned on doing anyways. Just have like a time that everyone could meet back up outside or something. I was probably gonna hang out in the parking lot for a bit and check out others cars. Then go check the ship out and stuff.

Why wouldn't Kevin race? He's one of the fastest in the club. You wanna run him? I'm sure he'd be more than happy to convince you. He runs low to mid 14's in the 1320 ft. DEAD on with a stock ss/sc and a good driver.

Aside from running 14's now, he'll be doing much better before too long. He's looking at getting the ZZP 2.4l turbo kit. But he races. More often than you think.

My yellow car hasn't ran in a long time either. I gotta buy a new intercooler pump when taxes get here

It probably won't be fixed by the 21st, but I'm still driving it. 150+ degree IAT2's keep me pretty nervous.

They have picnic tables there if I remember correctly!

Gulf Coast ECOtecs would like to invite you to their first annual USS Alabama Meet. The meet is this coming Saturday, the 21st of February. Plan to be there around 1:00 pm and to hang out until 5:00 pm. Join us in exploring the USS Alabama and the USS Drum, as well as all of the different planes and sites to see at Battleship Park.

BBQ pits are available for all who attend, so if you wish to BBQ then you may do so. Pavilions and picnic tables are available as well.

Expect a $2 parking fee.
Admission fees: Age 12 & up: $12.00
Ages 6-11: $6.00
under age 6: Free
Active Military free with Military I.D.
Senior Citizens and AAA member discounts available.

Rusty Daniels, the club's photographer, will be available for pictures. Rates are negotiable with him.

Bring your family, friends, and other car enthuisiasts! Everyone is invited, and we plan on having lots of fun! Due to this being the first year we hold this event, we will not be taking entries for show. No awards will be given, and no sponsors will be present.

I was just working on that lol you beat me to it. Thanks. Very readable. Just take exit 27 if you're coming from the West and exit 30 if you're coming from the East. It's very easy to get to.

If anyone coming from Florida would like to meet me at the Bass Pro Shops on the last exit before you cross the bay before 1:00 then please let me know. I've gotta run over there to return a shirt that I bought for my girlfriend. It's too small lol

I have some good news. I e-mailed Karren Conner from the USS Alabama. I explained to her how we have been planning this since January and that I wasn't able to collect everyones money ahead of time to get the group rate at $10/person. She told me that when everyone buys their ticket to mention that they are from GCE and they will get their $10 price instead of $12. She said we are still responsible for the $2 parking fee though. Fine with me. lol

Bump

This is in 3 days folks! Time to start doing those last minute touches and planning everything out! I know Friday I'll be giving my car a good buff and polish. Even went out and bought a 6" buffer/polisher.

I'll be taking the front seats out Friday also and cleaning the entire interior of the car. I'm gonna get my girlfriend to help me also

It appears that the weather this weekend will be splendid with a high of 64 degrees and a low of 32 degrees. It appears it will be a little chilly so dress accordingly.

Good deal!

I've been watching the weather too -- supposed to be Sunny in Mobile Thur-Sun, so it's looking good.
