i hope it sunny stupid rain last friday

 

It's definitely going to be sunny. Here's a heads up though. Kevin and I used to work just south of the Battleship right on the bay, and it can get pretty windy.

Wind + 60 degree weather = chill bumps and shivers

Just be prepared is what I'm saying. Bring jackets and what not. Again, let me remind you that if you want to BBQ, be sure to bring the stuff you will need to do that. I wish that we could provide everything like that for you, but sadly we cannot. We don't collect dues and such, so we leave stuff like this up to the individual. We will also have Gulf Coast Ecotecs decals for anyone who may want some. We paid $104 for these decals. They were only $3 a piece, so I think we'll swallow that cost and give them to whoever meets the requirements of the club (must have an ecotec engine lol)

i i just relized that mardi gras is this weekend. in mobile and new orleans. anyone have any plans to head to either one after the meet this sat night???

It was nice meeting all of you at the Battleship Park today!!!

Just got back and began to load the pictures I took but when I connected my camera all I got was "no images exist"...Dammit!!! Please post your pics soon!!!!

...It was entertaining to watch the group from the Fort Walton Beach area ZOOM buy us on the way back...looked like something out of a "Cannonball Run" movie....how FAST were you guys going...never mind, don't incriminate youselves!!!

...and for those of you that didn't make it...we had one SS/SC all the way from Jacksonville FL!!!! Thanks for coming Kenny!!

well i hate i missed meetin all of you that came from FL, i was kinda a late show. hell i only got to talk to anthony cody aaron and zoe while i was there. i think i have a plan for another meet thou. this is somethin we will discuss and decide on thou but there is the aviation place down in p-cola that i havent been to in years and would love to go back there one day. just a thought for another meet later down the road. maybe more in the summer time when its warm so we can get some rooms and stay and **** off at the beach too.

any thoughts on that???

 

Larry, it was nice meeting you, as well as everyone else. Hopefully we can meet up again sometime. Thanks again for inviting me, I had a great time and really enjoyed myself.

WOW! First off, let me thank EVERYONE who came! I hope everyone had a good time. I know I sure did. Thanks for comings everyone! We have been talking about planning a meet in Florida once it warms up, so expect to hear about that real soon.

I'm sorry if I didn't get the chance to introduce myself to everyone. I wish all you florida guys would've stayed longer though. We had PLENTY of hamburgers and hot dogs to cook, but when I got off the ship everyone was gone! Anyways, thanks again for coming out. We couldn't have asked for a better first meet. We're going to try to make this an annual event.

We'd also like to take your suggestions on places over in Florida to have our next GCE meet. You all came to us, so we'd like to return the favor and come to you. Plus, like Kevin said, we wanna spend as much time on the beach as possible lol

Larry, you're probably the coolest guy in the whole entire world. You really impressed me with your 2.4 SS. I'll definitely be bragging about you and your car.

i think the next meet needs to be at the race track

 

track meet would be great.. we had talked bout doin a track meet before but it was at a local track, so we would need to find somethin kinda in the middle so you FL guys could make it too.

 

I've got you fooled!!!! Sorry we had to leave after only 3 hours but I had to bribe the wife to make it and had to take her to dinner..plus we had the 3.5 hour drive back. Kenny must've had a drive!!!
Thank those other car owners for making it too! Nice seeing so many SC Cobalts plus 2 TC Cobalts...too bad more 2.2 Cobalts didn't show up.

 

to be honest im the only one other than treys ole lady that has a 2.2 balt.. sucks for me but hey its pretty fast thou..

 

I say a track meet is a great idea. I'd like to get some "new" numbers at the track pretty soon... *ahem*
