Looking for a Miami-Dade based mechanic for my 2006 Cobalt SS
A few weks ago, I bought a beautiful red 2006 Supercharged Cobalt with G85 PP.
I am not a mechanic, I am just a regular guy who fell in love with the looks and power of the car, and so I need to find a local Miami Cobalt fanatic mechanic that knows the car inside and out.
I don't have a huge amount of time to read through these threads, and so I am hoping if I can find a Cobalt fan, who loves to work on them, we might be able to do some business and maybe see about making some improvements to the car.
I appreciate anyone's help or suggestions.

I never really tried that hard to look for a Cobalt SS mechanic in Miami, which probably explains why I never found one.
But now I really need to find one.
I am looking for a mechanic who lives in Miami, and who would be willing to have a look, test drive it, and make a diagnosis.
Can anyone give me a recommendation - or is there a meet-up this week (week of Aug 20) where i can bring it by somewhere?

Well, for the past several months, the engine sounds different, almost as if something is loose or vibrating.
But I had it checked by the local garage in my neighborhood, and they said they could not find anything loose in the car. They took it for a spin and heard nothing. They changed the oil twice.
The noise does not happen when it is idling or being revved up, I can hear it only in low gear and only when I accelerate.
It sounds a bit like something is scraping against something else, or vibrating/loose.
The sound also reminds me of the sound/noise that the rotary engine in my mom´s old 1981 Rx7 used to make, but in that car it was supposed to happen.
So, you can understand why I would prefer to consult with an expert Cobaly SS mechanic.
Other than that noise, the car accelerates just as fast s it always has...but I am not driving it that much anymore due to this.
