Looks like the SRT4 may have missed a gear. But a good kill none the less... That SS sounds mean! I'd love to have one... If someone wanted to buy mine I'd sell it at pay off price. Then I'd get me on 09, slap the hahn cat-back, ppc tuner, intercooler, and perhaps hard charge piping and definitely whoop some cobalt hatin ASS! When we pulled up at Sonic did anyone else hear the guy with the white RSX say "Oh great, the Cobalt's..."? When we parked, it wasn't five minutes and he left lol... What a wimp.

 

thats wasnt a new turbo balt. that was a turbo swap on a ss/sc. look at the steerin wheel and seats. trey your car could be that fast.

not to mention he's probably pushin around 400hp with that turbo swap.

 

I just don't see me buying a supercharged car and redoing everything to have it turbo'd tho. Now, a turbo car with a different turbo, yes, but damn... I mean I understand why people do it (turbo > blower) but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me....

 

lol well you can get way more power with a turbo and a turbo is way more efficent than any super could ever be. but hey to each his own.

And to the turbo swap thing, it totally defeats the purpose of the car being made in the first place. It's CLEARLY a road racing car, where a supercharger is put to use best. Turbo lag is failure when shooting out of a curve. However.... The new turbo SS is also designed for road racing. SPECIFICALLY. Things go well when you use the car for it's REAL intended use.

 

damn looks like someone has a good idea an plan.. turbo lag isnt that big of an issue if you keep the car in the right gear ready to go. you only really get into bad turbo lag on huge turbos like above a 60 trim. a 50 tim is perfect. you get very little lag with it and still have plenty to go in the high rpm range.

 

IMO turbos are better for the big end. On a road race course, you won't ever see big end.

I'm still waiting on Rusty to get on and upload those pictures he took last night... This guy is a genius with a camera.
