Nice "copy-paste" action there Aaron. Superchargers DO NOT get hotter than turbo's simply because a turbo is CONSTANTLY full of 1000+ degree exhaust temperatures. The Eaton m62? Hardly half that. If this blower were to get that hot, don't you think it would bend and warp a little?

I WILL be going thru with this set-up. If it doesn't work? Oh well. I'll learn a lot from doing this. If it does work?

I'll be the coolest LSJ around.

Car show information:
As Anthony said before, there's a car show this Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 11-5. This is a charity car show. They are taking canned foods, frozen foods, non-perishable food items, and warm clothing. I'm not sure how to enter, but I'd enjoy entering just to help out with the charity. Anthony has the numbers to call on the flier. He can post them up if anyone is interested. I'm expecting to get my car back Friday.

actually i believe the "LSJ" itself has been around since 2004..

the 2000-01 motor was just Gm's "ecotec" line, which started with the L61 (2.2)?

but then again, i could be wrong.. it has happened before.

Yea i dont know where I got that from but the LSJ is a destroked l61 and was implemented in the 04 redline that was sold in 2003

^^^
I was in the middle of reading the LSJ build book. My brain is fried.
Aha i found where I got that from they said in chapter 1 in 2001 a 1600HP 2.0<< isnt an lsj
And i couldnt find any evidence but im sure the LSJ was created before 2004 its not like the engine is created over night.
And just like any other car the 04 redline was sold at the end of 03
And the Prove me wrong post up there is for trey to prove me wrong for the air to air. (as in do it) mybad

hey Yellow.. you got the zzp midlength header/downpipe.. what primaries you runnin and what size downpipe did you get?

i was thinking of going 1.75" primaries to a 3" downpipe to 2.5" bolt in..
but then someone told me to just stick with the 2.5" downpipe
because im running the GMPP exhaust (other mods in vbGarage)

any words of wisdom for me guys.. i need some help

Why would you go from a 3 inch to a 2.5 inch? The 3 inch down pipe is going to be loud as hell. Well never mind I know the 3 inch back is loud as hell. Isnt the 3 inch down pipe a bit raspy? I have heard of people wrapping them in Heat wrap to take the raspy ness out of it.

thank you for proving my point lol

yes it would sound bad.. especially going from 3" to 2.25"

and i definitely dont want it loud. I want it to sound like it does now, just maybe
a little louder and deeper
So i'm going with my original plan of:

1.75" to a 2.5" catted downpipe

it should be perfect... i hope

anybody wanna help with the install??

If your wanting a 3 inch DP just run 3 inch all the way back with a huge resignator.
As for the install... Isnt it kinda tricky without a lift.
You can tell trey is a girl now... Last Activity: 11-17-2008 07:28 PM
