I bought a new 07 silver ss/sc from bill heard in plant city. I put a stage II kit and cold air on it. I was working outta town and my wife got T-boned by some jerk-off passing folks in the dirt. Needless to say the car was totaled, my wife walked away. So if here is any ? as to the strenght of the cobalt frame it was answered. One tough little car. I went down and bought a new turbo from ferman, I love this car. It is all black with all the ss and turbocharged badging removed. I got rid of the big wing and put a small wing on it. I am about to put Hahn's cat back and tuner on it. These cars are fast. I have had five fox body mustangs in the past even a twin turbo with a 347 in it. I now hate slowstangs. I plan on having a BBQ @ my house in the next coming weeks, all cobalts are welcome. I know mike with the yellow ss and all his boys, so the word is out, coming soon the best BBQ and ribs you have ever ate will be served up at sambones crib very soon, oh yeah BYOB and BYOB's. think about that last one for a minute....hahaha

Thats why I used average owner dynoed rwp figures, not manufactuer crank numbers. I suspect that the SS guys (is it a team like the SRT guys, or is each model pumped by that models own engineers?) have taken a page from SRTs book, and tested for score under adverse conditions on purpose, so that owners, even under bad conditions, like 91 octane gas, high temps, or heat soaked, will never see bad numbers.

Nobody wants to be like the SVT boys, that mistake with the Cobras cost millions, not to mention the publicity black eye. Like Mazda with the RX-8, where they ended up offering to buy the cars back or give coupons for free service, as I recall.
