Hey guys, wonderin how many people would be down for a track day comin up in december at MOROSO?!!!

I know I'm gonna have a cpl goodies that I want to use and I'm sure a bunch of you guys wanna test out some early christmas presents also.

I was thinking Friday December 18th for Test & Tune..who is down?

 

it always falls through cause at the last minute people pulled out. Tried it before. I have bad clutch hyd otherwise I would go unless I get a new clutch by then.

my parents live on northlake blvd like 10min from the track. ill try to make it but i may be back in orlando by then. in march ill be down in west palm for good so it would be nice to chill with some south florida peeps. i hope theres more balts down south than in Orlando because in the ucf area theres like 3 of us

 

i was just out there on the 13th to get my stock times was the only cobalt out there. Best believe when im charged im coming back in dec and pretty much every test and tune night.

 

O **** I saw you out there lol white with black rims right thats funny lol it was like high 80 something traps right. Anyway to the op i'm down to bring the cobalt out there just pm me ill bring a bunch of other fast non cobalts to I got my own team.

Ya man I'll pm you when my friends and I go out next time I'm down. I'm normally the only balt there also so that just means that not enough go to the track down here.

By dec I should have a little bit of work done to the car so it will be interesting to compare setups in person

I def want to go. I wanna hit Countyline up a couple times to get some practice even tho its only an 1/8. Ive never gone down a track before. sad I know...lol I think ill be goin to Countyline Dec 11 to get some runs in. You and Darkman and everybody should come. If you go around 8 or 9 theres less than a 10 minute wait till your back at the line. Probaly wont make it to Morosso till like mid January

Is the Z still running rich?

 

Yeah, haven't had the money to buy the tuning software, and it sounds too good to justify putting the stock airboxes back in. I'm holding out hope that i'll get the tuner **** for christmas, even if I have to buy it for myself

 

Is it just software or a standalone type unit? What about modding the stock airboxes?

 

It's HPT type software, a laptop based tuning suite and an interface cable, re-programs the stock ECU.

Good ****, but it's $700

The stock airboxes work so well because they are sealed off, and only pull air from in front of the radiator support. To hack them up, would probably do more harm than good. I'm fine with the way the car runs, it's not supposed to be fast right now. There is a big blue bottle sitting next to me for when I just can't take being slow anymore. So far, I haven't given in to temptation. The $1000 of speeding tickets has helped with that as well...
