Feelings mutual..... I'd rather still be in Jax, believe me.....
At least I got to spend my son's first Christmas with him. That was worth the 11 hours in traffic to get there and the 11 hours in traffic to get back. F-in holiday traffic SUCKED!!!

^^^ Yeah, tax free has its perks. My wife is still onboard with my idea to buy a peir beater when I get back and to put the Balt in the garage and overhaul the engine. Do a nice little 300 whp build.

No ****? What branch are you trying to join? The whole college thing not working out for you, or just not your thing? Well good luck with that man.

Yeah, but everyone in Jax knows he's a P-u-55-y, j/k

I wouldn't mess with Ranger, he hits deers so hard and so often, they ****...
I don't want to sound like a recruiter or anything... all I'll say is this... if you join the Marines or Army, get used to the desert man. Oh yeah, and learn how to duck and cover REAL well. IMO Navy has got it man (even though they're sending more and more of us to fill in for the grunts). Use your brain, which we all know you have, college boy, and find yourself a computer related field. IT or ET. Good advancement overall, and you sit in the a/c ALL DAY!!!
Or go Nuke field. They're offering $90,000 for 6 year re-enlistments because they're realizing that when you're Nuke in the Navy, you're qualified for mid level management at nuke reactors and can make in the six figure range. Just my .02.

Not really sure yet what branch I got it narrowed down to 3
, Marines,Navy,or Army I know thats not really narrow but I have tome to decide. But yea Im kinda burnt out with college, and Im leaving pcola before the semester is over so my loans will kicking in becuase im not enrolled in school so im gonna have to start paying them off so i need a steady income, and when i decide to go to school again the military will pay for it

Im active navy... If you want good promotion IS or IT is def the way to go. But even so, you'll see desert sand a few times. If its a toss up between Marines and Army I'd go Marines... thats my $.02

Yea Im not to worried about seeing the desert, I mean I would prefer not to go but Im not gonna do anything to avoid it. I see it this way, Im joining the military to protect my country and do my job, whats the point of joining if I do anyhting I can to avoid it?
But I think now I have it narrowed down to Marines or Navy most likely Navy but I want to keep my options open. I do have a question though. How do they decide where you will be stationed. Do I have any say what so ever in the process?
I will most likely look into a IT job however I wouldnt mind being an MP becuase originally I wanted to be a police officer and I still do but it wont be for ahwile.
