Well making a drive out west of the city actually isn't too bad for me. I can catch 301 down to I-10 and already be out there. And if there will be more than a 1/4 mile, it will be more than worth the trip.
They have been trying to get it going for a couple years now but they are having trouble with finding investors. Im gonna try to find the site for you, if it actually goes through it will probably be as far out as gainesville but it will be more then just a 1/4 mile.

Investors is not the problem. The city of Jacksonville is. We will never have a track in jax again.
The places they were looking at was in jacksonville city limits. Jacksonville is sooo big land wise, but because of growth in and around jacksonville it will never happen. Sad thing is jax raceways sucked, but the land is still there and really can't be used for anything else without spending many millions of dollars to dig up the nasty dirt and replace it. Wish they would bring the track back, but make it a 1/4 track.
