I had that same problem with my 90 N/T... just out of couriosity does it have an aftermarket alarm?
That was the source of my problem, there are some wires under the dash that come loose over time....

it does have an aftermarket alarm that doesnt work at all.it was a 2 way pager with remote start bull ****.maybe ill have to rip all that crap out.thanks that will keep me occupied for a little bit
ya im not liking it so far.i love my cobalt but cant wait to boost it.i really want to go turbo on it but it might be easier doin the supercharger i dunno.i should have waited to get the ss/tc lol
its not a tune up.when its running it runs perfectly fine no misses no hesitation hits around 3500 or higher and dies, push clutch in let it back out while still in gear and comes back on.im gonna pull the alarm out and see what happens cause when the alarm took a **** this started happening i think.well see.
Well i searched on tuners like you should have and found out just what i thought....Its a sumwhat common problem thats is traced back to either bad/wrong gap plugs or bad plug wires or bad coils, Once again do a complete tune up, Oil, Fuel filter, Plugs and wires, Then check back i bet it will be gone.
im telling you its not tune up!!!!!!!!!!!!i know what happens when its a tune up issue.plus i pulled the plugs out and they look good so im assuming they were changed not to long ago.oils good and that would not cause the issue..lolcoils i can agree that might be the issue but ill check them with a ohm reader.wires are probably **** but still not cause of issue.**** wires will cause misfires which it doesnt do!!!
