Yeah the one I had before was a .64 this one is a .86. It will hold stronger in higher boost. it will take a little longer to spool, but I doubt it will be noticeable with all the porting to the head and intake.

Noob question. There seems to be a gas station at the corner of Scottdale and McKellips that sells e85. Anybody use this? Also, I'm obviously not tuned for e85, can I still put it in my tank just for fun to ensure no knock in higher temps, etc?

ive seen that station, ill be using the washington and 15th station. You can't just put e85 in the tank since it is a different fuel type than gasoline and our cars don't have alcohol sensors and the wb can't compensate for the difference.

Other Tyler, that is gonna be a nice turbo that is a .pretty huge a/r so I'm curious to see the lag. Who is porting the head? And what do you mean by intake I thought you had the plastic 2.4 mani either way I'm pumped tto ride in your car when it gets done!

I was thinking about mixing, just for the higher octane. I.e., if I have half a tank of gas then mix the other half with e85...
I remember somebody telling me that I should drop some race gas in my car and that it wouldn't hurt anything, even if not tuned for it...

Race gas will be what you want if you just want more octane to help prevent knock, you don't have to tune for it

Any clue about nearby places that sell race gas then? The gas station by firebird? I heard about a Mobil on chandler blvd and 44th. Really, I'm just kinda curious, and would put some race gas in just for fun, to make sure there wouldn't be any knock if I go drag racing and the temps start getting hotter.

I don't think I have any knock, I figure if I'm going to go race though it's not a bad idea to be safe. And like I say, I'm just curious

You could do race gas but that gets expensive at 8.00 a gallon. E85 is 2.40 by my house

Ya I'm just trying to get my trims dialed in but I'm free all day sat if you want to log. I'm still on the fence about turning up the boost term is having great results on his car just his clutch slips a lil more and I'm fine with that I've been waiting to install my spec 3+ and lighter flywheel
