I want a saltwater tank so bad! Im getting one when i move out and im just gonna have a bunch of badass **** in it lol
So with the 36's and a 3.1, the injectors will be at like max duty cylce, but still function 100 percent. I have the stock GM reflash for now that i CANNOT tune. it is locked out. The reflash is designed to run rich, and keep things from going kabooom. But lacks 100% potential.
the motor has 110K on it, the car is showing signs of age, rattle starting, exhaust needs redone, and all this kinda stuff.
I am putting on the h/e setup in a week or two. what do you guys think my best bet is for now? Just keep this tune and all that jazz, while i build? or should i run it to its full potential, get it tunes and dialed in, and take the chance of catostrophic failure due to tuning miscues or fatigue issues?

If you have a good tuner your tune will be more safe and be less prone to cause engine failure. I say go with big injectors and a good tuner. You will have room to build and you can always back off.
I started out with GMPP bolt-ons and 42lb injectors. If I could do it all over again I would have just bought the pacesetter header, 3in exhaust, 2.7in pulley and 80lb injectors to start with. It would have been far less expensive that way.
i dont know anyone i am comfortable with tuning the jbody l61 right now. I know lots of people trust Vince, but i cant do remote tuning. i need almost instant contact if there is an issue.
