Well car is back at the mechanics house. He think it's something to do with the tune the way that it's slipping and only has first and second gear. He's checking right now to see if it's anything mechanical. He said he's pretty positive that Vince fucked up the tune though. So he says... EZFlash was weird though in how it tuned my transmission when I only selected it to tune my engine... So I called Vince to see what the deal was with that. All I know is one of the 2 fucked up... Going back to the mechanics casa tomorrow morning to load some old tunes and see what the tranny does. BLEH!

The tune cannot "**** up" an auto and cause it to slip. It can cause large Tq spikes and cause it to slip. The commanded shift points in the tranny will happen just like its commanded. Its mechanical if its slippage. Just like if your clutch is slipping in a manual. Either you are overpowering the clutch, or manipulating it wrong. Its operator error most of the time with manuals.

Hopefully the government doesn't try and shut down again, or else you might not be getting paid while in towel land.

Okay good then I'm not the only one who thinks this...
He said he was gonna check the pressure levels at certain RPM's for each gear right now to check and see if it was something mechanical. He thinks that Vince isn't commanding enough line pressure which I know I have maxxed out... I never told him to change anything on the transmission so why would he? And a tune wouldn't make the car worse over time... It was fine at first and slowly got worse as I put more miles on it. It was slipping in every gear And wouldn't shift into third. Only had first and second... So now it's a waiting game, again.

I am hoping for your sake its not someone putting subpar internals inside your transmission.

We have a verbal contract stating that it will hold 350WHP reliably... If he tries to say otherwise I will sue him for all of what I payed him...

Where did you spend 900.00 on a D3100? Last year I sold my D90 w/ an 18-105 VR for 750.00. (I have a D7000 now though)

Anyways, the 55-200 is a decent lens, just a little slow on the autofocus. Next time I am up that way, I will let ya play with some of my other lenses so you can see what is out there.

Keep an eye out for a used 18-105VR, and you can ditch the 18-55 and the 55-200 (And you won't look back).

RPM bounce? 2007 2.2L, 4T45E - Transmission Forum - ecotecpower.com - the ecotec enthusiast site
However I did find this information interesting as they threw the same codes that I am right now and have the same problems and GM says it's part of the tune that's causing it.

He might have under-estimated the amount of tq our cars put out too. When it comes to transmissions a stock one can hole 5bazillion WHP, but only a certain amount of tq. Hence why honda transmissions shatter into a billion pieces, when you think about anything over 300ftlbs, but can hold well over 300WHP.

A lot of the guys here who did super / turbo swaps and installs did them in their own driveways and garages. Maybe you can organize a tech day and save on labor costs.

However if not I want to say FF Ace has some experience with a local shop, but I can't recall which (or even if what I say is true).

its not necessarily something with the tune. (The tune didn't cause it) But it may very well be something that can be tuned out.

Theres an awesome place here in tucson..... I know the owner, and the pricing is very fair, and they do great work. They specialize in high hp turbo cars. A bit of a drive, but the shop does awesome work.

I just find it funny considering I have the same transmission tune for the last 2 years and just now AFTER it got 'built' it's starting to act up? I smell the fishes... lol

Do it wrong, and it will run like crap till you fix it. Doing things yourself can be a good learning process..... but also an expensive one if you are not mechanically savvy. Know your limits.

Well my plan is to of course do the install but right after done with that, flash the base tune asap that way you can start logging and getting it perfect.

As long as you dont go over 250hp you'll be ok, unless you have deep pockets to rebuild the motor
