Found a vacuum/boost leak which was causing my shitty idle.Boost gauge reads so much more vacuum than its ever read so the leak has been there since day one.I'm glad I found it finally.Now just needs fine tuned.

 

So can we now come to the conclusion that it wasn't Vinces tune?

 

it's still vinces tune.The tune is still a bag of dicks.The idle is still choppy and the way he tunes PE mode is fukn stupid as ****.still going hpt.

 

Does he not put an RPM delay for the PE... Can you go into PE if you nail it at 1k rpm?

 

Since you are so versed on tuning, maybe you should shoot him some pointers on how to smooth it out.

It would save you the credits and time.

 

You can tell him what you want and I sure he will do it. I been working on my tune with him and he has done everything I have asked.

 

I can be at 1000 rpm,put it on .0000000001 pounds of boost in 5th gear and PE kicks in lol.

And no thanks on re-tuning with Vince.I'd rather have Chris do it.That way we can figure out everything then and there and I don't have to wait for an email
And Andrew,I never said I was a great tuner.I only know a little bit.I am simply going off of my tune and how he has it programmed.No need for smart ass remarks.I never said he was a shitty tuner,just that my tune that was "finalized" is a bag of dicks lol.Im sure his tunes are great on other cars.I just dont like how my tune is,nor the waiting process for a new tune.HPT will be a bit more easier.

Whats up gents. It has been too long since I have been on here. I hope everyone is doing well. Chris and I logged my car last week and it pulled a 5.0 60 to 100 with a full tank of fuel and his 210 lb ass in it. I think that is pretty good with my mods.

I just think you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. You have run respectable times with vinces bag o dicks tune. And better than most others with your setup. But hey if you get a better tune somewhere else, you get a better tune somewhere else.

There still hasnt been an LNF in the state with comparable mods that has even come close to my time at firebird with just vinces E85 tune and air box mod. Only reason I ran faster on HPT was because I was able to dial in my tq management in between runs to get the perfect launch. Only things his tunes lack is the ability to tweak them yourself. (and that was only worth 4 100ths)

 

weird Tylers car idled like mine and the only thing he changed was Hptuners and smooth idle.I have my reason for my beliefs.

 

I had hp one time and cold start idle was all over the place. But iI dont blamemind tuner forto that. Communication and patience is the key for a tuner to fix problems.

 

I'm out of patience with Trifecta.Just my personal opinion.I'm going HPT for multiple reasons.Hell,My car helped unlock tuning for the E37a ecm.Do I expect HPT to fix my idle?No.I'm triple checking everything it could be.Do I hope it's the tune,yes lol.But I do not expect a new hptune to fix it.Like I said,there are quite a few reasons I'm switching over.I'm gonna pull the blower and intake manifold to check some things,also changing spark plugs.I've already checked the injector o-rings/seals and throttle body seal,Those were in tip top condition.My boost gauge reads about 20 inhg at idle so I am assuming I found all the leaks but I'm still gonna check the rest of the gaskets,and re torque everything down.I also gained 1 psi from fixing the leak I found in the boost signal line.Well see.lol.And those videos weren't cold starts.Cold starts the AFR's are super steady till it warms up.Like I said I'm going over everything but regardless,am switching to HPT.

That had nothing to do with the tune HPT or Trifecta.. Tyler blew his tranny on vinces tune too after it was "built".
