Story of my life. The wife isnt too happy either, Im glad she is a trooper about all of this though. Its funny because oh **** like this my car has only gotten about 15,000 miles since I built my motor 3 years ago.

I think I am going to just put the key back in the busted crank (drive it easy), get a spare motor, get the ZZP girdle installed on it, get it all ready pull my motor, put my oil pan, pistons, and head on it, trans, and reinstall the new motor. This will create less down time I believe.

I will then hone the motor and sell it since it has darton sleeves in it.

Just do it like you told me you were gonna do and have your dad make one out of titanium and make it a little wider so it's not loose in the crank at all.

be careful.gotta make sure the pulley will slide back over the crank and key,and what happens if it sheers again.then it's def. time for a new crank.

haha I was kidding, I would try to put that heat to a rotating object.

I just talked to my dad and see if I got him the dimensions if he could do it, he said probably. He said he could use inconel 600 since they use that on jet engine exhaust rakes.

Looks like I'll be using 5W30 synthetic motor oil in my trans. It's what Engineered Performance and IPT recommended to me...
