DPS detective friend said they're not illegal. And, these new photo citations will not go on your Ins, or points on your license, so basicly if you can afford them, you can rack up many of these photo citations and just go pay them.
****** bullshit, **** DPS...money hungry little bitches
i notice unnecessary 'heavier than normal' in the middle of the day for no reason other than these retarded ass cameras
for someone that spends more than enough time in traffic, the slow down in traffic these are causing is highly annoying

Mark Location stores speed traps and other locations in memory.
Speed traps and camera locations are everywhere. It's a stretch of highway where they always sit, or it's a back road that quickly changes from 45 mph to 25 mph within a few hundred feet. You don't always remember, but now your PASSPORT 9500i will. The PASSPORT 9500i's "Mark Location" feature allows you to quickly store a specific location in memory. Simply tap the "Mark" button a couple of times and the 9500i will store this location in memory. The next time you approach this area, the PASSPORT 9500i will provide an alert well in advanced to remind you of the potential danger. This specific location reminder could keep you from being ambushed by instant-on radar or laser the next time you approach.

some one told me that they are private owned so if you do get flashed you just pay the ticket, no points taken off nor does it go on your license... just what i heard dk if it is true or not
In regards to the plate they are also have a new law that passed about being able to see the state. If they can not see the state because you may have a license plate cover you get a TICKET and it will be removed on the spot.
Another way for them to make money.
Another way for them to make money.
About 2 months ago I made a thread about this. I got flashed on Rural by ASU. When I got the ticket in the mail I found the law stating that legally they have to come serve you in person so I ignored it. Yesterday a City of Tempe police officer came and served me my ticket. I have to pay an extra $26 for them coming out here but I don't care. At least those bastards had to go out of their way to get it to me. NEVER PAY THE TICKET UP FRONT. THEY MUST SERVE YOU PERSONALLY! They have 120 days to do so and if they don't then the ticket goes away.
