Yah, it sucks when you have to pay again when you go thru another tuner. Many people have done it with some tunes.

Ya I'm one of them that's paid for a couple tunes. Had a pyskostevo tune orginally now tuned by dave aka terminator through cris SCcobaltSS, car really likes the new tune and its a lot better power band the tune isn't fully dialed In yet so there still more power to be had

 

I'm the one with the years unlocked. It takes lots of money to unlock all the cobalt years.

I'm interested to see what your new Dyno will be.

Anyone else want to go to the Dyno Wednesday? I'm interested in tuning a 2.2L to see what gains are possible.

 

Yah I know.. I wish it was like that too. I would really like to just mess around. From what I have seen in other people tuning I am still cheaper than most tuners out there. Even though I dont have years unlocked through HPT.

Alot of the stuff that HPT is wanting is logs to see if we run into any problems, try different log speeds, etc... Of course tuning is part of it just a little harder to come across with people already trifecta and dont want to pay another fee for another tune.

 

Yeah HPTuners credits are expensive. I'm $11,500 deep in tuning software.

There came a point when it stopped being a hobby and became serious. Then came insurance and all kinds of other stuff.

And I blew it hard. I had a staff member, flights and travel expenses, and other things. I was going all over the country like every other weekend and going crazy. There was lots of fun. I still make decent money off of tuning, I'm just not rich.

I'm thinking of running an E85 blend too. Where are you planning on buying it? I have only seen a list of like 3 stations that sell it in Phoenix.

Yeah, AZ Dynochip. I'll need to know when you want to be there because I'll be there in teh afternoon. I need to re-dyno my car too and make a few adjustments. Either I'm getting used to my cars power level or it lost a little up top.
