Date for new car show at Biglots

Okay, hi...This is Tim from BigLots,

The show was nice, but I see serious room for improvement. First, here is clear fair warning of the comming event. July 1, 9AM-3PM.

Here is whats going to happen. We are already in talks with Arby's to do a car wash and discount food. We are bringing in a Food Vendor. We are bringing in a cold (read ice-cream) vendor. I have invited my club (Dynamic MINI Collective) to join (they are big.). I will be in contact with MINI North Scottsdale and The local Chevy Dealer (they said yes for the last one, but couldn't get it together fast enough). I would like live music, so someone on here said they would try to get a hook-up.

I will be trading in the useless tricycles and upgrading...we will be doing some fun stuff with your cars, like "trust". Parking contests, low speed slalom, Cobalt 101, and MINI 101 (as in educating those with less understanding of your special vehicles).

There will be voting again, but it will be scheduled to be complete by noon for those who need to get out of the heat. The prizes will get bigger, as the company was pleased with me, and wants a bigger show!!!

Any suggestions or questions? Call me at 480-313-4171 or email at tdc_diversified@yahoo.com

Sounds good. I will see about getting started on flyers or cards that we can leave on peoples windshields to let em know about it. Since this time we have a huge warning I am sure we can gather 3x as many people and the car wash idea will bring people simply to get their car washed. slow speed slalom? holy crap that would be funny to see and fun to do.

Before we get too deep we need restrictions to be known though so that way we know who we can and cant have in the show itself.

Sounds like fun. I will try and be there.

Also thank you and your company for the prizes and just the ability to gather somewhere. That is really cool.

I'm glad you guys had fun...if you had fun with this one, you'll be crying when you leave the next one, cause you'll be sad it's over.

My only ground rules for invites should be ingrained in you already, as you all drive tastefully modded or stock cars.

This is what I ask

1. No more than two invites per member.

2. No invitees allowed without the original member escort present.

3. No rice (I don't direct this toward any specific make) as in : flat black, cut spring, fart can, bat-wing (not including stock!! hehe!!) cars. You know what I mean. Clean classy tasteful cars.

4. No one that hates fun.

Thats it. Questions or special requests can be directed to me.

Well I guess that means my friends 11 sec. street driven civic is out. His car doesn't have the rice look, it has the POS look.

Hopefully my other friend will get the suspesion fixed on his '46 Dodge Custom Sedan in time for the next show.

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Sorry I came with my F350 instead of my SS/SC, but I had to pick up a bed at the Bed Depot. I'll make sure I bring the Cobalt next time and hang for a while.

I have a buddy that has a CooperS that's modded for Auto-X. I'll see if he'll join in the next one as well.

Your an Ypsilanti boy? Did you go to Eastern, or U of M? There's lots of Michiganders out here; you'll like it in Tempe (well, except the summer heat).

Welcome (in advance)

We had hella fun. Can`t complain at all. Thank you so much for inviting me. I would like to see some Lt models and more LS`s as well. I thought it was good turn out. I like everones ideas. If I come up with any I will post them. I was wondering if we could put an ad at or something like in the autotrader or something and all chip in. But I wonder if this will draw to much of the wrong cars I don`t know.

P.S. I was the one with the orange LS if anyone wants to write me.

this one is going to be big!

I've got 3 MINI's so far. I haven't even set up a thread on that sight yet! This one should be big. I have Wednesday off and will be making most of my calls and setting up with the dealers and vendors. Then I will let you know where we are. I will only tell you whats happening and who's who when I have a guarantee from each one. As it gets bigger, you will all be coming for sure! Plus, for those that came to the last one, I have good news...we have different tents that take 3 minutes each and require 0 bolts!

I'm thinking about a drawing as well, but this one will be based on what I get for guaranteed prizes.

I'm thinking a misting system of some sort. Of course, I have to build it. The biggest thing is running a hose from the building down the parking lot. We might be moving to a different part of the lot with more shade too. We can also run a cord and some fans with the mister...Water fight...pee on each other...dip your head in your radiator...you know

It's not like we're in the parking lot of an air-conditioned store or anything, either...

I can't wait for this to get here. Should be kickass.
