Fireturd.

Trying for another Firebird GTG for friday night. I know its a bit short notice but id like to get as many people out as possible. even if you dont want to race you should still come to socialize. Ions and even Neons are welcome as well So far it's going to be myself and cobalt_supercharged, any other takers?

I say we try and get there around 5:30ish. The line was relatively short when I got there a little after that last week. I might have my Dad's friend coming out too. He just bought a new SRT-4 and wants to race for the fun of it.

I believe there will be a couple of SRT-4's out there. Not mine tho, it is still in the body shop from being rear-ended. Plus the engine is out as it's being rebuilt. My car won't see the track until mid January at the earliest. It's rebirth shall be something to behold though

BTW, anyone looking for (or know someone looking for) a Cruiser style motorcycle? I have a 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom for sale... the funds from which will purchase a Progressive Direct Port Nitrous system

Hey Eric...your buddy Arcie has finally made an apperance on my Evo thread on AF. He says he doesnt believe me and neither does the guy with the Evo that you guys work with. He said the guy with the Evo wants to run me and of course I accepted. He also said the Evo was stock except that it had a "tune." What the hell does that mean?

he said it was a reflash of the computer so now it has different fuel maps but he is still on stock boost levels ... my guess would be more bottom or top end ... the stock evo was really balanced with the power output so it makes sense if he added one or the other

Well we had only two people turn out from the boards, but had one guy their with a Silver SS S/C that is now aware of the site. Best run I saw him do was a 14.66.

Unfortunatly the track was shut down more than it was running, because of cars breaking on the track. First car was a Camaro that had the clutch explode. Second, I don't know what it was, but it broke and trailed oil down the whole track. It took probably an hour plus to clean that one up. Then a '00 mustang broke the differential. They had to find someone with a chain to get the car off the track. (20-30 min.) Then as I was leaving a drag Civic Hatchback broke something and got oil on the track. Luckily he stayed at the starting line. Racing started around 7 and I left around 10 or so.

There were some fast cars there. One was a 70's Bronco running a 10.74 and a 10.78. A 70's Camaro running 10.5x. Two mid to low 10 sec street Supras. One ran a 10.6x the other a 10.7x after coming off the line very slow. And one mid 9 sec Supra.

No, 2 white and 1 black. The black car and one white car were the mid 10 sec cars. I know and work with the black car's brother in law. He hasn't dynoed it but is estimating around 700hp.

Were those others that also broke down? Is the Supra the one running in the 9's? The other 2 got kicked off after the first pass, or did another show.

My coworker just told me about the Viper today. His brother-in-law owns one of the Supras.
