I know it will be hard but keep in mind you can share rooms with someone and have a co-pilot with you this way you can split the cost.
I dont see anyone spending much more than the cost of gas and the cost of the room.

You can always split a room with 1-3 other people and even get a buddy to drive down with you to split the gas.

it probably is about 6 hours for you guys, .... keep in mind its the same distance for places like oklahoma,houston, and tyler groups...all of which are making the trip .
This is always a 100+ car event and always worth the trip
