Yea after I did my charge piping I kept having the pipes blow off cause I was cheap and bought the worm clamps haha. Needless to say I found myself paying to overnightthw t bolt anyways. Lifes a bitch!

Also with my mods and **** my superchips tune is starting to run a little rich IMO so I'm prob gonna be lookin into a custom tune when I get back from Cali.

Glad to here it's running good! My Dad's a GM tech and said it's okay to run the car rich, he said running it lean would cause a problem with the valves. I have the SCT in mine too, I'm torn on what I should do next? Some member's her say to just do a K&N drop in, because it seems to be more benificial. I read a few post's about Hahn having issues with there intake. Trifecta is looking really promising, with the new tunes they are working on now! I guess I will just keep looking and reading.

 

I've had the trifecta tune equipment here at home for a week now and it'll be another week before I can install it. So I've been on and off the phone with Vince letting him know why I'm keeping it so long so he and I have talked quite a bit on what he's going to be working on.

It sounds VERY promising. I hope he can accomplish all of this inside a few months. But we'll see! One of the things I'm going to love is he wants to make the Launch Control option adjustable so that you can set it to what you want it at instead of the gay ass 5k.

 

Wow that would be nice to adjust the LC. I read he is making a selectable tune, that looks very promising!

 

Yeah, He told me he was thinking the GM tune in regular mode, then his performance tune in comp mode. Said his Wife was tired of just spinning the tires all the time and that he should make it selectable. What I SHOULD do is see if he can make like a 'Trifecta' badge kinda like GM does the 'Stage I or II' badges to tack on. That would be nice... *goes off to email Vince*

 

Those would sell like crazy lol.

 

I Emailed Vince about the badges. Here's what he wrote back with.

Said he'd try and send me some of those letterings at some point to show me what they look like. Can't wait to see em.

I paid 250$ for the tune. 55$ for 2 day shipping. They send you a burly little box containing all the parts you need. I think it's like 35$ for regular shipping, but I don't recall how many days. They pay to have it shipped back. They ask for you VIN and a list of all the mods you have for your car.

Vince is pretty responsive when you email him, or when you call him.

lol thanks man. ya my car isnt easy to catch on vid. its crazy loud on the inside and outside its still loud but no rattles or flexing that the camera can catch. but you can ask nal and yakko my roof flexes about an inch

Trifecta is in! Finally got it installed. It's now pushing almost 25lbs of boost, but not on a constant. it drops back down after it peaks. Rev limiter was supposed to be reset to 7k but is still at 6300. Gonna give it about 100 miles before I call Vince.

It should be set after the tune. I would call him asap. How about your LC? Did you have that lowered too? I have the SCT and it holds 24lbs of boost.

 

No, Vince hasn't gotten that idea out for the public yet. It's an idea of his he's gonna work on doing. I'll give him a call tomorrow as it's a bit late today.

 

yeah i sent a pm not sure if it went through. i have had it for a while now and its great. when i first got it and was untuned it would drop the iat's about 10-15 deg. on WOT runs. now that i am tuned for it if i forget and let it run out i get 5 counts of knock on WOT runs.

meth? no meth isnt supposed to give you more boost. it lowers the temp of your engine so you could possibly run more boost safely

 

Yeah what JJ said. He was able to advance the timing more than others because of the meth and in turn more power
