Yeah..I'll be coming back in July with my shitbox 99 Escort. Free car, all I had to do was swap the old blown engine with a used salvage engine.

Really do miss my SS/SC though...wish I could track down who owns it and buy it back. Those recaros and that LSD were to die for.

It has the only Outlaw Maverick gunmetal wheels ever fitted to a Cobalt. I keep applying for government jobs...eventually I'll land one so that I'll be able to get my old car back. That is...if the new owner hasn't trashed it yet. I really do miss those Recaros and LSD.

Since leaving UT, I've had a 1981 Ford F150, 1995 Pont. Grand Am, 2001 Hyundai Sonata (motor blew a week after I bought it), and a free 99 Ford ( ) Escort. And I compare them all to my SS/SC...that car set the bar for me.

Sorry man I wasn't offended I was elaborating on the other guys comment since I'm sure he's mormon and you said the word Jesus on your post. Therefore just jokingly clownin with both of you. I have 2 SS/SC's one is black non G85 and the other is silver with G85 and a ton of other mods and I love it to death. I've had a cobalt SS since they first came out. I have lived back and fourth between Utah and Washington my whole life. Nice to meet you to xravenwingsx.

 

An SS/SC without LSD/Recaro is no way to live...I'm sure you'll agree after driving both. Now, I would like to test drive an SS/TC to make a comparison. I won't buy a turbo, but I'd like to experience it. I miss the whine of a supercharger.

 

Yes the G85 does make all the difference in the world. That is why I haven't put any mods on the black one that does not have G85. The silver one is where its at for me because its loaded with everything and has all the extra mods. I hear what your saying about not buying a turbo because you like the sound of a supercharger a lot more because I'm the same way. Although I am most likely going to trade my black non G85 in for the new TC. I just can't believe that after all these years they still make some without LSD. I had no idea my black one didn't have it and I just bought the first one I could find not knowing it didn't have it. I just need to find out if I can make payments on another car before they stop making the TC and I can't get one anymore. I don't want a used one at all but I would definatley like to have both TC and SC for my cobalt collection.

In the effort to get my car back...I'm calling it Operation REPO. Hehe. You know...being military and all.

Anyway, got in touch with the dealer who sold my car (to a 17 yr old kid no less) and he gave me the contact info. Hopefully it's still in one piece after the kid driving it for a year...and hopefully I can secure funding. The mother of the kid said she might be willing to sell it back. I assume she's not too happy with his driving habits. As Connor/domin8 can tell you...a lot was done to that car.
