can you pass emissions with the code deleted. Or do they use a sniffer and I have a 2006 cobalt ss/sc

 

If you get the code deleted by Autozone or similar, it will likely still be stored in memory when they read your OBD2. If you've tuned it out via HPT, I believe you're fine. And if it's an emissions code, I think you'll fail instantly. They won't even bother with the sniffer. May want some others to chime in as I'm not 100% sure.
