Bay area *MEET* - Let's make this one happen
Cool. Just curious. I am working on a 60s tune that is going to be off the hook if I can get it done in time. Just fueling and air mostly. I'd love to meet with someone there that does timing.
I'd like to keep this to Ions/Cobalts.....you know...the ecotec family. for damn sure no rice!!!
all the way!!

I think everyone will come for the racing more than anything...lol Not the scenery, pic ops, BBQ, or meet/greeting.....lol
I hate to rain on everyone's parade....but beware that Alameda County Sheriff could be throwing the cracking down if they notice what we're doing. My employer rented the runway and a hanger here in the past for a used car sale and the Sheriff department warned us about "hot rodding" or doing 1/4 mile speed runs on the runway...he said that he'll ticket and impound every car that he catches (if he can catch you). The County also informed us that we have to abide by all traffic laws while on the base....and this was enforced to us....especially when we paid good $$$ to use their facilities.
HondaHater...nice videos BTW. You probably got lucky that no one was around. All you need is someone to notice what's going on and call it in. The person who you spoke to didn't know what they were talking about....and I'm sure you didn't ask them if you can have a meet and drive 110MPH down their runway.
I'm sure a meet would be safe, but doing some side by side racing might be asking for trouble.
If everyone knew you can use the runway for speeding....how come it's not so popular for racing events? All the ricers would be out there! haha
Have fun and be safe.

The reason I picked this location in the first place is: 1. I always have wanted to drive on an air field, 2. The naval base isn't owned by the government anymore and is now public, and 3. Because of this vid I saw on youtube..... http://youtube.com/watch?v=lH5MprOpinY
The racing will only probably take place for a few mins. If at all depending on the heat level. I know that still taking chances. But how often do you get to do this....know what i mean? The worst they can do is tell us to stop and leave. Even then I have an alternate location to meet....no racing but still can chill and shoot the ****.
BTW are you coming to the event? You live so close......come thru.
P.S. we ain't ricers man!!!

I defineatly understand what you are saying. I know most are going for the racing......that's a given. If the heat is around, no racing will happen. When I was out there the day I made the vid, there were a few folks that came to the fence and watched. I was out there a good hour or so doing runs.

I'll show up to spectate and chill, but no speed runs for me...though it's very tempting.

So put me down on the list. My exhaust and downpipe will attract the attention because it's raspy/ricey LOUD! It attracts the heat!
The last time I was a Alameda Pointe, I was really buddy buddy with the Sheriff that was on patrol and even asked him if I could do a run and for him to turn his head...and he told me flat out "NO" This was when I had my modded Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo, because I too wanted just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity.
That Audi video is cool...
