find a new motor? if its not being covered you have 3 choices. sell it, fix the motor, replace the motor. youre gonna lose money either way

Find a used motor in your area on there and swap it.

Make it get repaired under warranty. stage 2 from gmpp carries a warranty if you had the dealer install it. given you are under warranty, ie power train or bumper to bumper

dont let them bulley you around because if your going to sit down and just say yes to everything they tell you then yeah theyre going to try and run one over on you because itll save them money, if you put up a fight though and have the proof to back up your bark then you should be able to get it replaced under warranty provided you still have warranty etc

If you have the GM Stage 2 on it, they cannot do ****. Why? Because it's a GM sanctioned addon that is supposed to not **** with your warranty.

well they arent covering it say its $5,000 just for parts.....their GM rep is accusing me of using after market tunes to give it more boost then it could handle (still has stage 2 tune) also they say that the oil pan did not have the factory seal on it

I didnt realize that a non factory tune included dropping your oil pan.

Call GM's warranty line directly then.

If that fails, BBB.

thee seem to have a sense that ive over boosted the car due to the fact that the motor blew and that the oil pan didnt have the original seal on it...they are using that as their excuse not to honor the warrenty...any techincal answers to this would help...all i had was the stage 2 with factory tune

if you didnt pull the oil pan, then they are full of ****, if you didnt retune it your full of ****..there is NO tech anythign to this, there is fighting this tooth and nail cause they are trying to rail you.

bottom of the line...you are right, they are wrong and you need to convince them they will be sorry if they dont help you

1) they can look up the number of times the ECU has been flashed, so they shouldnt be able to say you have a custom tune
2) a tune doesnt add more boost anyway. Ask the person you're talking to if they know what their talking about, and if they know how superchargers work opposed to turbochargers
3) The oil pan doesnt have any unique kind of seal. Just some liquid gasket maker. Ask what the type of gasket maker used has to do with anything?

I have a friend with the same problem on his SKY RL. He has done nothing but the dealer installed performance upgrades, and they are trying to pin his friend rings on him. (I think the dealer loaded the wrong CAL for him.) They were saying that he put an MBC on it now..... "because it had an aftermarket vac line on it." He got his friend with a solstice GXP to show them its the exact same line on his car too. The GM HQ was harassed, and he ended up getting a full engine replacement + Stage 2 Kappa upgrade again for free.
