Well, its for a buddy in the club. He keeps getting this Cam Position Sensor code and he's replaced the sensor at least twice. The connections seem solid and clean. What else could it be?

He got flamed pretty bad last time he posted up, so I thought I'd try and help him out.

I’m actually in Ventura Co / SFV and got a pretty good guy, but he's way out here.

Any help would be great. He's pretty frustrated.

Check the wiring to the sensor, I had an saab 2.0 ecotec that one of the pins came out of the connector (on the crank sensor).

Usually if the crank sensor isn't picking up the signal the engine will not start.
Are you sure it's not the cam sensor? What's the number for the code?

his crankshaft sensor works sometimes but then it will stop reading while hes driving cuz his rpms will move then out of no where it just goes to 0 and does not have any reading as for the code im not sure he told me but i forgot
