i work in laptop hardware repair for a company called Blue Raven Tech in Wilmington, MA. Not to be a downer on this, but 4k is really high for a used laptop, even as nice as a setup that is.

Curious how much did you pay retail? A lot of gaming type laptops like Alienwares and Hypersonics are wayyyy overpriced. If you have the space its just a lot easier to build a desktop.

i have pics of the invoice on the OP. i payed $3900just for the system, and you get the surround sound system and the mouse. so its not a bad price

These things deffinately cost that much, it realy depends on the condition. Free bump but i think youll be better off outside of the forums, lol ppl rather go turbo for 4g.

man you got to drop that price. i tried selling a desktop on here with an AMD turion 64 x2 3.0 and an 8800gtx in it about 3 months ago for 550 and i did not get a single bite on it.

that laptops definently nice, but i do work with things like this every single day, and your not going to get close to what your asking for.

i had a hypersonic-pc laptop (alienware equivalent), about 3 years ago right before dual cores started to come about, and i sold it for about half i bought it for. i paid 2500 for it and sold it for right around 1200.

with used computers the resale value is god awful, no matter how perfect it looks. plus with gaming laptops its a complete pain and costs a boatload to upgrade parts, if the said company even has an equivalent replacement for like a graphics card or something.

i mean that computer with the 8800 gtx, i bought the vga for 550 and sold the computer for that much (on ebay).

sometimes you just have to cut your losses with used computers and get as much as you can. your best bet is selling on ebay. i promise you you will get the most you can get for that laptop on ebay. typically people overpay on ebay, just got to watch out for scammer bids.

just trying to help you out man on a subject area i know a lot about. im getting my bachelors in IT this upcoming fall from UML, so its definently something i know a bunch about.

theres no way you priced anything because they do not make the dual 8700m gt's for the m17x anymore. i am curious as to where you got this information from.

your right they dont... but a comparable system from alienware is what i priced out
