I have a used 15 farad alumapro capacitor that i removed from my previous audio system, it has gold terminals and is absolutly one of the best capacitors made. It is not pretty and does not have a bunch of fancy lights or anything but it works perfect. It is more of a low profile box than anything Its the box in the middle of the floor. These are EXPENSIVE new like $400.00

$110.00 shipped inside the us. I do not have the original box or any papers but i am positive it works fine.

How long have you had it?? Have you had any problems with corrosion coming out from underneath the terminals? I have owned 3 of these purchased at $500 a pop and they all have gone bad just after a year and every time I try to work with Alumapro to get them serviced they give me the run around and say 1 year warranty max. So i ended up just getting the typical 1 farad cylinder style one.

 

Well thanks for the info and helping try to sell this thing , seriously, i have had no problems at all, i bought it from someone else and don't know how long they had it, i've personally had it for about a year. As i said, it works fine, the only reason i am selling is i needed a better looking unit for my custom install, i now have a stinger 15 farad.

Oh well good info i guess if it's true, but seems strange that he's had 3 different capacitors do this, never heard of such a thing, alumapro are supposedly making some of the best caps on the market.

 

alumapro caps have won many people numerous awards, deffinatly one of the highest quality caps on the market. and this is a 15F, most just use the 5 so ur getting a hell of a deal for 110

 

How much does that vehicle weigh with all that dynamat installed?

 

Well, i would say it added a total of about 10lbs, so add that to the GVWR, it was worth the money and weight in my book...

 

I am not "killing" his sale. I am just asking. I was a potential buyer. I just know there was "know" issues with the alumapro capacitors. I was just asking a question about his product he is selling.

Yes, i do take paypal, but if you have had 3 bad ones, why buy another??? Not saying you can't have it, just wondering. Also, i was being pretty cool about your comments about this, but in reality, your questions were followed by the i've had three and they all went bad and alumapro won't back it up, so to me it seemed like you were (killing the thread). I don't care it's not that big of a deal, just stating a fact, and if infact you had this many problems, thanks for the info, cause the last thing i want to do is sell something that may cause someone problems in the future. As i stated though this thing works great, and before you posted i had never heard about someone haveing problems with alumapro, not saying it didn't happen just saying i had never heard of it.
