i had a dye dm4, and dm5 and planet eclipse ego for the longest time. if your going with smart parts just get the shocker, the epiphany is nice, but the shocker has more aftermarket for it.
if i was you stick with dye, reliable, good for front which is what i played, also good for back, but for back players you dont need as quiet as a gun as you dont move much.
i played pro paintball for about 2 years, so hit me up if you have any questions on guns, tourneys, what not

Stay away from anything closed bolt. They are much more difficult to lear, take care of, and clean. If you are playing speedball how loud the gun is , is hardley revelent. If you are playing woodsball go pick you up a tippman A-5 or even 98 custom and E-trigger that bitch. you can get them for about $120. If you want speedball, then I would suggest picking up a Fairley new intimidator for some ridiclously low price if you are worried about money or are new to paintball. If you already know what you are doing, go pick up an Ego or one of the new timmies. cant go wrong with either one. you should really give us some more back groud info though. how often do you plan on playing. how mechinally minded are you. how much money you want to spend. where you live. at what level you want to play. speedball or woodsball. compressed air or CO2. im sure you get my drift.

I have a Tippmann A-5, Duel Trigger, Spec Ops saw stock, and Spec ops horizontal handgrip.
Damn good marker, it's not gravity feed, it uses a cyclone feed system
All it needs is a barrel adapter for like 5-10 bucks, someone stole mine.
Get an 18" ceramic barrel, and rain paint on people.
Get the Tippman flatline barrel and outshoot people by over a hundred feet and go sniper.

I am looking to sell my Tippman 98 Custom with the Q-Loader system, some pods, a mask or two, the butt stock for the gun, and some C02 tanks

I'll have to wait til the next time i'm at my parents house =[ (prob sometime this week)
I also have a couple of CO2 tanks and pods to go with it, and a pod belt
