over heating it only works for so long then they **** up over heating is aslways bad. if your doing this to "donate to the less fortunate" you would of red up more on this, like the best wa to fix them for longer life.

when you over heat it it doent fix the crapy clay heat sins that cause the problem in the first place, after you over heat it it leads to more rrs that arent as easy to fix

Ugh man. E74 is. Video issue, usually the gpu ram chips lifting off the motherboard and is a ***** to fix. The rrod, there is no fix, only temp solutions to extend the life. I get 20 xboxs a week, if they cannot be fixed by a heat gun and new mounts for the heat sinks we have the cpu/gpu reflowed and even that doesn't fix them. The heat sinks are fine, one of the issues is the way they are mounted with the x brackets. The other issues are the lead free solder so the ***** that hold the chips actually melt again and then don't keep contact as the chip lifts off. The other issue is the complete horse crap design of the cooling. So the best way to fix is heat gun and new screws and spacers for the heat sinks. If that doesn't work its not worth the time. Now me believing you want cheap to free xboxs to fix and give away is a whole other issue.

A month after u bought it and you didn't warranty it, you fixed it yourself? **** even MS can't fix their own xboxs. Rallyracer sent his off and got a rrod one back out of the box. Most friends are on 8 or more. X360 is a pos hardware wise. No conesole has failed this bad this much.
