well with 25 GT tuners in stock then I would say that's our best option honestly. I can't see more than 100 people using these things so it won't take long to cover everyone.

More info on this please...I would love to keep a stock tune for back up and also a secondary copy of the new tune.

I got a laptop, all I use it for is hacking PSPs and people in my area who want ringtone on their verizon phones without paying for vcast.

i dont know what his decision yet on the laptop tuning is, i cant call as its 10am here and they are 3 hours before me so its 7am there lol..

id love to see laptop tuning as well

i just want to test it out so bad and get rid of that PE delay crap.. i want this tune lol..

Can we find a way to adjust the in dash shift light. It would be amazin for drag racing.

this isnt clear to me on how the gt tuner works. are you saying that when the gt tuner arives, the person with the car/gt tuner is tuning the car themselfs?

because like i said, sending a tuner back and forth is not good since this is my only car and wouldnt be albe to drive it till the tune was right.

No you use the tuner to read your car and keep getting new tunes via email until it is right.

this is how it works..

GT tuner arrives with base tune or so i believe.. This i do know though it collects info from car when driving so and so miles and all..

then unplug it from the obd-2 port and hook the GT tuner to PC and upload the file and email it to vince, he then makes some adjustments to it and sends the tune back which you upload onto the gt tuner from the pc..

Then go out to your car plug in and reflash

all in all a days work or so on.. i am sure you will borrow the gt tuner for longer than a day, it probably would be borried for up to a week i would guess because of weather changes and to make sure it works.. this wont be the biggest performance tune due to weather, its a conservative tune but with performance mainly in mind..

ok here is how it works.... from someone who used it

vince gets your info, he's got a stock tune already, the standard GM one from what I believe, he then modifies it and sets it up on the GT Tuner. Sends it out and then you recieve it. you plug it in, it backs up your ECM and the reflashes it with the new tune. no driving, in face you CANNOT turn the car on during this process. IF needed, vince can send out corrected/adjusted tune files to suit your liking or in case something doesn't work right.

OK, first of all this is awesome. Took me 3 days to read this whole thread. The satellite dish isn't very nice to us during sandstorms. I haven't ever really tooled around in the cabin of the car so can someone tell me where the ecm is? I can do a lot under the hood but computers and I don't get along. Will he send instructions on everything that needs to be done to get your tune uploaded correctly or is it a press and guess? These guys work really fast, GOOD JOB AND THANK YOU

soldierboy, its easy, plug in the port under the front of your dash, the OBD-2 port, then press on the tuner what is asks.. it tells you what to do... also there is another thread somewhere or its the first page that has a link to show how it works with pics

its very easy, plug and play.. you dont need to mess with your ECM/ECU

I dont know if you're getting the one I have or not, I'm assuming they have only one, although I have no reason to think that. I hope you get yours soon tho!! I was dying for mine too!! I did take pics but they're on my camera and it wont sync to my pc right now. it's just an ipaq with an ODBII interface cable. the exciting part comes after it runs, which you can't really take pics of. videos tho... lol
