UPDATE FOR YOU ALL
I spoke with Vince today. He said he has located what he is looking for table wise in our computers....so he is going to get with me this week to start testing some tunes on a running car Him and I are going to work a lil bit on getting that all solved, then he will work on finding other stuff on the computer...such as gov and limiters.... then him and I will Dyno tune my car and test that...then comes the auto portion of the tune (just updating that) and he will be set to start selling.. Things are coming along quite quickly and I should have some updates for you soon on how, and what will be done


FTW!

I can't believe how these guys are able to crack this ECM so easily while HPTuners has blown us off for 4 years now.

well the thing is it's obviously not the impossible thing hptuners makes it out to be. I'm sure you need to be GOOD at what you do to do it, but there is already a canned tune from bill hahn and garret right? I mean it's obviously possible, but for whatever reason hptuners didn't want it... we'll see if they make an offer to vince for how work tho

Bill Hahn had nothing to do with the Garrett kit for the 2.2L. SCT made that. Hahn took the Garrett kit and made one for the 2.4L.

thats awesome im excited.i heard the l61 ecotec revs to 8,000 with stock internals if you remove the limiter!true????????????and this tune will be able to make it run richer for turbo apps??????

i'm still wary. **** the guys at EFILive have an e16a cracked open so you can see the board and everything still were saying it's an oddball of an ECM.

So what are the 2 testers actually testing? Is it just to see if it works or to actually get some power out of it?

Patience there big tizzle The more rushing the more bugs

i gotta call vince tomorrow and tell him some things about the power enrichment delay or did you already do that tom??

Tom send me the dyno results if ya can to see whats all going on, i aint near tom like you are

ok so the e16a ecu is cracked like tom said.. Did he figure out how to do it all on the auto as i no yours is manual??

ya but i think the e16a was the easy one to crack.im still waiting for the e37 to be cracked open so i can go above 120mph a 6500 rpm.this sucks then i could finally boost it with out the worry of running it lean!yay any meets in az?

I'm sure it is, after all, it's something chevy thought would be a good idea but I really don't see that as being a reason why it can't be cracked.

where u plan on going 120mph? 1/4mi? or do you have a 5mi straightaway closed course around you? :rofl:

its not that hard to hit speed limiter on a 2.2..where do you all get the misconception that 2.2l cobalts are so incredibly slow...they arent as fast as an sc...but they are fast enough....in fact, mine has more whp, tq, and is faster then a stock 2.4....it can be done and they are close to begin with when stock...

lol it if funny for everything to think 120 is hard to get in our cars, i hit 120 in my fiancees LT pretty quick on a empty highway..

i did 105 in both my car and my gfs cobalt this weekend..twas easy!!
