We don't have a header for the 2.2. We would be happy to design one if there's and interest and if we can get a car in the shop. We can't offer a free header but we can offer free install and a significant discount on the finished products.

HP Tuners or not, I think they just want tuning.

There's 68 reasons to look into the 2.2L. Considering the 2.4L already has tuning abilities, don't you guys want a monopoly on the market?
Wow! That's quite a list. How did you manage to assemble it so quickly? Or has it been done in the past in an effort to entice other companies doing tuning?

I will do my share to assist with the development of tuning for you guys. But it wont be overnight.

Thanks again.

well either way after speaking with Dan and Vince it seems like they're on the verge of a superchips-esque tuning solution (for whatever platforms they decide to come out with) which will make a huge difference in the way a person can tune their vehicle.

i no they werent gonna be free lol and i wouldnt want it just handed to me for free.. if i had the money id buy it and test it for you, but sadly no funds.. but if you get this tuning done before august for the 2.2 you will have a customer, hell if even the next few months i will test it.. i am selling stuff soon for turbo fund and i need tuning cause of me having a auto.. and hopefully AUTO will have tuning for it also with your tune for the 2.2 if its done..

please keep me updated cause i can get the money for teh tuning just by selling my old fender guitar which is worth quite a bit of money ::is going soon either way need turbo money::

if you need me to test the 2.2 if and when it gets done, please pm me, i will go out that day and sell some of my crap and send you the money..

2.2 programming

You guys will be happy to know your "68 reasons" convinced Vince of Trifecta to make cracking the program for the 2.2 a priority. We have a local owner lined-up and Vince has a 2.2 computer. Don't expect anything next week but he is working on it. Up-dates coming.

Thanks everyone.

Id like to know a little more about the technical side of this. What kind of advantages this has over the said 'Big Daddy' tuner software that is HP Tuners.

I spoke to Vince about the 2.2 in depth yesterday and he has other projects he is working on. He does have an interest and, time permitting, will give it a shot to offer programming for your engines.

Thanks everyone.

Now, since there are so many 2.2 liter owners interested in programming, what about a header for your engine?

Speaking for myself, I would love a header that is compatible with sai, so that it would just bolt on.

Here's how the "GT Tuner" works with the programming. Just click on the image to forward to the next page:

Any other questions let us know.
Thanks.

We have a local owner willing to let us use his car. I'm waiting for a call to get him in here for evaluation for the header.

Thanks.

Dan, I spoke with Vince about this at one point as well, and would be more than happy to work with you guys as well, i do have some aftermarket parts installed that would benefit from tuning and he would be able to make sure that the product worked with the 2.2 w/ aftermarket parts...also, my gf, (chevylschik) would love to work with him if he is willing to work with an auto ls to try and crack that side of it....let us know ill stop in the shop sometime and discuss this and other business about the local scene

Well thats good news someone is acutally spending time on our cars now. My question for the header is a good one; granted there are several headers for the 2.2L. However, some of us 06 models got a nice GM feature SAI (secondary air injection) which in translation is a hose hooked up to the intake box and header. It is to simply reduce emissions, now I would pay top dollar to see a header for us with SAI.

Ultimately my dream is to make an N/A car with the same ammount of power rated at the crank as a 2.4L. If I buy an intake (K&N) with SAI imput and a header [if possible] with SAI imput. I will buy this programmer so this dream will become a reality.

....Unfortinately I'm in AZ.

Yeah to add also;
I'm an auto
- B&M Shift Plus
- Custom 2.25" exhaust [resignator removed, magnaflow muffler]
- Custom SR intake
- Progress springs
- Hankook 225/45R17 tires...gonna get Nitto Neo-Gen 225/45R17 w/ tax money.
- TTR tranny bushings (not installed)

------
I dunno if making a list of mods would help with any programming aspect. Just to give Clear an idea of 2.2 mods for some maybe generic tunes?

I can not keep up with three different threads, PM's and email about the same thing. I'm making my own thread now in the vendors section. What an over-whelming response! Thanks everyone.
