"What is a shift knob?
This is a question that we at TWM Performance hear from curious customers every day. Rather, most customers ask what is a TWM weighted shift knob and what are the benefits? Shift knobs have been around since the first car was made, however until recently a shift knob was regarded as only an aesthetic modification to spruce up a cars drab interior."

"Does TWM Make A Weighted Gear Knob For My Car?
The answer to "Does TWM make a weighted gear knob for my car" is probably "yes". In addition to a TWM weighted gear knob being a great performance enhancing modification for your car, they are also universally adaptable to virtually any vehicle. The secret to this amazing adaptablity lies in what we call "ATIS". ATIS stands for Aluminum Threaded Insert System. The system allows..."

So I just installed my short shifter for an 09 SS/TC, and I just have a couple questions. First off, love it. Its a great shifter, and already feels more crisp in the shifting.
My first question is, in the packaging there was a black plug like part, with threads on the outside and what looks like a large allen key shaped center. But nowhere in your instructions is this mentioned, nor can I find it on your website. Did I miss something?
And second, with both the stock shifter assembly out, and the new shifter assembly being put together, I moved the cuff over that covers the large pivot ball. But the small pivot ball that shoots off to the side of the post, on the stock one there is a rubber cap goes on the end and sits in the hole in the shifter box assembly. Now this little cap can come off, but in the picture in your instructions, it looks like it is replaced by the hard plastic cap before being put back in, and I didnt have one in the package. So I just used the rubber cap from the stock one on the new one and re-installed. Problem is, after moving it around and trying to align the gear shifts, I noticed this cap was sliding out a bit, as it is a bit bigger than the pivot ball on the new shifter. What did I miss here?
