Well if you read on other peoples past experiences with this car already you will know that it's not so much performance people are looking to pick up with charge pipe kits, it's the fact that it's the same flow design like stock and won't cause issues with the charge pipes leaking or discharging cause they became loose. That is the main factor.

If all goes as planned it may be running when you come up. It would be cool to make all the flanges for your down-pipe and exhaust on the cnc mill while you're here. I'll know more mid next week.

Yeah that would be interesting!!

 

In order to do the tubing in carbon fiber there will need to be more joints. The carbon fiber is wrapped around a casting which needs to be broken out after curing. It's possible but the cost will most likely be prohibitive. I can get a quote from the guy we use and at least let you all know.

Yes, we will design one next week when the donor car arrives. We had already taken a look at it and honestly didn't think it was worth-while, at least from a performance stand point. But, it will definitely dress up the engine compartment. The biggest restriction to the stock intake is the factory filter. We use S$B cone filters. I don't care for K&N as the top is flat. S&B has a nice open cone inlet and the inside is completely tapered and smooth to the outlet of the filter for the best flow on the market. Don't expect a bunch of power from a cold air intake. At best, 15 at the flywheel. Anything more advertised is usually hype. What we may do is offer a filter up-grade with just 1/2 the tubing for those looking for a better flowing filter but don't care about the looks. It would save you all some money. As we always do, we'll do things right and offer more options than anyone else, better parts than anyone else and nicer finish work than anyone else.

We will have the donor car all day Friday and Saturday. Design and build on Friday and dyno tune and test on Saturday.

When is the start and end of this? I would hope for a few of months, but understand you gotta do what you gotta due. If you run it longer maybe you just wait to ship until you get 10-15 orders and at the end if you step into a cheaper bracket you can just give a refund at the end for the remainder.

We were originally ending it December 24th but no one really saw the thread at the time. We will open this up at least through the end of this month. That gives everyone time to put money together, gives us time to get pictures of the finished kit as well as dyno and flow bench test everything including TriFecta tuning for three different kits: "Stage I", "Stage II" and "Stage III". More details on the kits coming next week.
