Just installed mine on Saturday. Took 2 hours with a friend and a lift. Looks great IMO and the ride is virtually stock until you start hard into the corners....then you notice that body roll that used to happen isn't quite happening so much. Thanks for the great deal!!!
BTW - when you go to get your 2-wheel alignment done (since the rear isn't adjustable), make sure the ******** don't scrape up the front bumper getting it up on some sort of drive-on lift. I didn't notice the marks they left behind until I got home later.

Nothing seemed out of place when doing the install. We had access to a lift and the job went very smooth. It came apart very easy. Swapping springs is the only tricky part since it's a little dangerous using a spring compressor. But, it went back together just as easy. The alignment was pretty straight after the install. Only slightly out of factory specs up front. If you had to wait a few days before you could get an alignment, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
I'm just happy I ended up with a lowered Cobalt for a little under $270 doing the install with a friend. Saved big vs. what I was quoted for someone else to do it.

My problem is that I don't have access to a lift or know how to take off and put back on the springs myself. I was quoted around 500 for my local GM dealership to do it which is INSANE!! I was thinking around 100 for installation of the new springs, but I guess i'll have to keep looking around to see what I can find.

The fronts - you pull off the wheels, unbolt the tie rod end link, unbolt the bottom of the strut, and remove the 3 bolts from the top of the strut mount in the engine bay. Remove the old springs & install the new ones by compressing the spring and removing the nut at the end. Cut the bump stops if instructed during this process (in the piece of plastic that you remove) and make sure the spring lines up in the same spots the old ones were in. You'll see by the markings that were left behind. Installation is reverse of disassembly.
The rears are a simple unbolt, pop out and pop in. Again cutting the bump stop inbetween if instructed. The trick is to get the ass of the car up in the air high enough so that you can do both sides at the same. Just make sure that you disconnect the hard brake line brackets on either side so that when you swing the rear "axle" down, you're not pulling on the brake lines.

^I plan on installing the ones i just ordered with a buddy. I payed a guy 120 or something in NY to do it for me. It seemed pretty easy. See I dont know where to find those, im assuming that itll be pretty self explanotory once I get under there and if theres something in the way to make sure I detach it

BTW- cobalts do have 4 wheel adjustments but you have to use shims in the rear and it is not necessary unless it is way out of spec.....I just lowered mine and my buddies cobalts and the camber was slightly out and toe was wack a little so i made the proper adjustments and down the road we went....By the way If anyone local to wisconsin needs the springs swapped pm me I have my own shop outta kenosha and I did ours there.....
