Group Buy 3" Rebel CAI
The issue is that he never took his time when installing it.
As you can see... this is what he's really upset about;

1. From the pics I saw I understood this to be a 1 piece intake. Now I see it is a 2 piece. I call BS on this.
2. I thought they polished the pipe cause mine sure as the hell isnt. I call BS.
3. Where did they get the filter cause it looks like the same ones for the ebay intakes. I call BS.

But it's this part that I want to know more about:
I had that with my JBP, and I wanna know if this is better or more of the same.

Hmmm some people have no clue and also ignorant. Yes I am having issues and for some who arent I hope you enjoy the intake but as for me I took 2 hours playing with this thing and it still doesnt fit right. Hell my ebay intake did not rub and and took 15 minutes to install.. So unless you were with me at the time of install you can shut the hell up.

The ebay intake will install pretty easy, as it's only a 2.38" pipe, as compared to the 3" that this one is.
I've found that being patient, and having the whole drivers side open really helps (head light out, wheel off, liner out).
Now Omega, I have to agree with Coop here. I also followed the instructions and had a few issues. Mine installed after a couple of modifications. Now with my 06 I could not get the intake to fit as to the possition of everything under the hood. (five guys looked at it at time of initial install) I had to bend the front rad support near the upper tube where it goes into the fender about half a centimeter for this intake to fit. If I did not it would not have fit at all. I also had to do the tie wrap thing to stop the bulging in the fender. Now with all that said this thing does not rub anywhere if you take time to install it right. I can say though that for the trouble this thing is amazing. My fuel trims all fell into place because of the placement of the MAF and more air into the intake.

Here are the instructions https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...=Rebel+install
This is the absolute largest intake that can be fit to our cars and as so the fit is difficult to achive properly. Alot of people do have problems with it but if you keep trying it will fit and fit well. We use the same parts that we send to you in the kits, we have just done it so many times we get it right away. Things that require time and patience are more rewarding in the end. If you have troubles take some pics and PM us we are more than happy to help you out.

Here is a pic of the top view of the CAI:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the PCM:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the support beam after bending it in 1/2 cm:

Here is a pic of it going into the fender. It does not rub at all:

As you can see there is very little room on either side of the intake except maybe about 3mm. If I did not bend the cross beam it would not of fit.

Well I had to build a mount to hold the intake instead of the zip ties cause they kept breaking. Mine is jammed against the pcm and no matter what I do it just rubs and no matter how I position the intake the wheel is rubbing the fender liner. What I think should have been done is if you kept it a two piece I would use a 90* elbow coupler instead of straight as well as shorten the length of the top part of this intake. It should fit fine that way.
I took time and patients. Don't get me wrong guys it is a great CAI. But for some reason and we did take a few stabs at it but with my car it just did not fit between the PCM and the cross member. for me to get it in I did have to bend the cross member by about 1/2 a centimeter. e followed your instructions to the T but the upper tube for some reason would not clear the cross member one way and if you tried to tweek it it would not clear the PCM. By bending the cross member it fit fine. When we first tried to install it it also hit the break lines also. With the cross member modified y the 1/2 centimetew it now clears the cross member and the PCM by only 2-3 mm on either side. Then once I tied it like the instructions said to do it isn't moving anywhere. I have had no other issues other than that. It did have some fender liner bulge but after re adjusting the intake all is well.
