We just had some wet snow here and I haven't had chance to clean it.

So what do you think about the fitment?

Sounds like a good Idea, I might try that too.

By bending the cross member it fit fine. When we first tried to install it it also hit the break lines also. With the cross member modified y the 1/2 centimetew it now clears the cross member and the PCM by only 2-3 mm on either side. Then once I tied it like the instructions said to do it isn't moving anywhere. I have had no other issues other than that. It did have some fender liner bulge but after re adjusting the intake all is well.

cheers

Here is a pic of the top view of the CAI:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the PCM:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the support beam after bending it in 1/2 cm:

Here is a pic of it going into the fender. It does not rub at all:

As you can see there is very little room on either side of the intake except maybe about 3mm. If I did not bend the cross beam it would not of fit.

cheers

when you say you had to bend the cross beam, what and where is that? and how exactly did you bend it? i dont have the tools to be bending steel nor do i want to mess anything up when i get mine in a couple weeks..

Here is the pic of how close it is to the support beam after bending it in 1/2 cm:

If you look at the bottom of the pic you you are looking at the front of the car and you can see the edge of the support beam that runs from fender to fender. There is a piece of rubber tubing between the cross beam and the CAI that I cut that fits over the edge of the cross beam just in case there is any rubbing on exceleration/de-exceleration. The beam can easily be bent. I used a 2x4 and gently pried it to the front of the car. You will not damage anything and who knows you may not need to even do it. Every car is a little different. Be pacient and you will get it in. Follow the install instructions to the T. I had to use industrial ties to hold the intake up. I also drilled a hole in a weld fold just above the MAF sensor so that I could tie up the intake to stop the fender liner buldge.

cheers and hope this helps.

if the zip ties hold, i think i've got mine fixed, and i had to bend the cross member as well, it's problem at all to do

I used regular zip ties and found that they would only last a couple of weeks so I went to the local hardware store and bought what looks to be 3/8" wide ties similar to the ones in the how to pics from RAW. I also drilled a hole in the weld fold just above the MAF sensor so I could tie it up better. If these still do not hold I will fashion a metal hanger.

cheers

We are having more stickers made and will be sending them out to anyone who bought an intake.

If you drill a hole dont drill a weld, I know its only one weld but they are there for a reason.

I have made a bracket that uses a hose clamp, Aluminum Flat Stock, small carriage bolt and nut. Holds the pipe up and is very stout.

No problem, I guess that'll go out today because you've had my money since the first time you said it was ready to ship.
Is it ready to go yet?

Yes it is louder compaired to stock since there is more air flow. There is a thread with a sound clip

It's louder than the airbox mod as well. Also has a different tone to it. Very nice.

i just installed mine tonight... it was a biotch.... I couldn't bend that part enough so i had to cut out about a quarter inch, and i had to cut off half of the breather on top of the intake so it wouldn't hit my pcm...

other than that no buldges now, and it sounds fricken amazing!!!! im gonna go put on my ark exhaust now and i'll take a couple vid clips for the sound
