Group Buy 3" Rebel CAI
I took time and patients. Don't get me wrong guys it is a great CAI. But for some reason and we did take a few stabs at it but with my car it just did not fit between the PCM and the cross member. for me to get it in I did have to bend the cross member by about 1/2 a centimeter. e followed your instructions to the T but the upper tube for some reason would not clear the cross member one way and if you tried to tweek it it would not clear the PCM. By bending the cross member it fit fine. When we first tried to install it it also hit the break lines also. With the cross member modified y the 1/2 centimetew it now clears the cross member and the PCM by only 2-3 mm on either side. Then once I tied it like the instructions said to do it isn't moving anywhere. I have had no other issues other than that. It did have some fender liner bulge but after re adjusting the intake all is well.
cheers
Here is a pic of the top view of the CAI:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the PCM:

Here is the pic of how close it is to the support beam after bending it in 1/2 cm:

Here is a pic of it going into the fender. It does not rub at all:

As you can see there is very little room on either side of the intake except maybe about 3mm. If I did not bend the cross beam it would not of fit.

when you say you had to bend the cross beam, what and where is that? and how exactly did you bend it? i dont have the tools to be bending steel nor do i want to mess anything up when i get mine in a couple weeks..

If you look at the bottom of the pic you you are looking at the front of the car and you can see the edge of the support beam that runs from fender to fender. There is a piece of rubber tubing between the cross beam and the CAI that I cut that fits over the edge of the cross beam just in case there is any rubbing on exceleration/de-exceleration. The beam can easily be bent. I used a 2x4 and gently pried it to the front of the car. You will not damage anything and who knows you may not need to even do it. Every car is a little different. Be pacient and you will get it in. Follow the install instructions to the T. I had to use industrial ties to hold the intake up. I also drilled a hole in a weld fold just above the MAF sensor so that I could tie up the intake to stop the fender liner buldge.
cheers and hope this helps.

i just installed mine tonight... it was a biotch.... I couldn't bend that part enough so i had to cut out about a quarter inch, and i had to cut off half of the breather on top of the intake so it wouldn't hit my pcm...
other than that no buldges now, and it sounds fricken amazing!!!! im gonna go put on my ark exhaust now and i'll take a couple vid clips for the sound

i also got pictures of how i bent my break lines, where i cut my breather and why, and where i cut a piece of my subframe out!!!
