Thumbs up Hahn RaceCraft 3" SS CatBack GB

As more and more Cobalts are reaching for the big power numbers that a 3" Exhaust can support, we decided it was time to give you guys and gals a chance to get into one of our very refined Stainless 3" Cat-Back systems in a Group Buy!

Not to be confused with much cheaper imported Asian exhausts, the Hahn 3" Cat-Back is designed by expert American engineers, and is manufactured from premium materials right here in the good ol' US of A!

We've taken great pains to tune the sound so it's not raspy or droning, with a properly tuned muffler that features significant internal baffling and packing. We combine it with an additional resonator for unmatched sound control. Fact its, it sounds so good, with such superior tone and reasonable volume level, that we've seen more than one instance where lesser 3" exhausts were taken off and ours installed by people who just could not stand it anymore!

Now, here's some fun...this will be the FIRST EVER Group Buy we've done! So, we need your feedback. If you are serious about having this system, tell us what you want to see. Price, quantities for group, price breaks for more group members...I'll let you good folks help decide how this will go.

We expect to ship this Group Buy in mid to late June.
UPDATE, June 13th: Due to our extending of the Group Buy to June 30th, exhausts will ship in early July.

Added 5-16-08:
The Group Buy Terms, as determined by YOU! We asked, you said, we agreed. Ain't this a wonderful site?

Standard pricing: $624.95

8-15 units: $579.99
16-23 units: $539.99
24-30 units: $499.99

This Group Buy is good until June 14, Flag Day!
UPDATE, MAY 24TH: We've extended the date to June 30th.

Orders will begin to ship the week of June 16. We'll ship in the order of GB participation.
UPDATE, June 13th: Due to our extending of the Group Buy to June 30th, exhausts will ship in early July.

If you'd like to combine your order with our SS Header and SS Cat/Downpipe, add another $699.99.

Down Payments of $150 due within two weeks of order placement. Click the How to Order link below to choose your payment type and submit your order form.

-------------------------------------------

UPDATE, JUNE 19: Hi everyone! Here's an update for you.

Our staffer Robyn is now managing the clerical aspects of the Group Buy. She's already been in contact with some of you as she organizes the data. Her new email is info@turbosystem.com. If you've replied to her emails already to sales@turbosystem.com, that's cool...we've forwarded them all to her.

I will remain your go-to for product information, and she's now the contact for payment and other details.

One favor I'd like to ask...you folks that are looking to put these on Ions, please make Robyn aware, so she can make sure you get your section of 3" 304SS tube to complete your order.

Thanks! Robyn is super-cool, and she's ready to serve you anytime. You can also reach her here at 630-553-6830, ext 100.

So you are leaving it up to us to decide the price range and what type of group buy this is going to be hahn?

Or are you just saying that you want opinions like the turbosystem thread

Best catback out, PERIOD!

I've gone through quite a few, looking for the right sound. This one takes the cake.

Well, yes to both!

If you folks propose a situation (pricing and quantities) I find do-able, then it will become reality. All I ask is you be real, and be seriously interested, not just passing time. Once I have enough opinions and suggestions, we'll finalize it and set the terms.

I am not 100% sure if one's been fitted to a sedan or not yet...would anyone else know?

I'd say yes. We can attach to any downpipe from stock to 3", so long as it has the 2-bolt flange in the stock position. Our slip joints allow for alignment via rotation and moderate length adjustment. But you may want to consider modding the d/pipe so you have 3" all the way through if you go with our setup...a 3" downpipe that necks down to a smaller outlet, then up again into a 3" catback is an un-needed restriction.

I say 500$ for 10 people 450$ for 20 people 400$ for 30+ people. What do you guys think.
Or just 450$ for the whole group buy.

That could be a tad optimistic...our regular price is $624.00.

We see a 3" exhaust from a company that's actually manufactured in Asia going for $510.00 and we've got that one completely covered in features, sound, and quality!

So higher or lower

I know your stuff is the best bill no doubt and i will be buying your level 3 turbo kit very soon but i was just throwing numbers that seemed not too high but not too low because your components that you make are top notch compared to anyone i have seen.

I'm warming to this now

Tell me, folks...what kind of discounts off standard pricing are you accustomed to seeing in a GB? 10% off? 20%? And at what quantities of group members? I saw where Marque mentioned group breaks of 10, 20, 30, and that seems close to what I'd like to see...

No, you are just getting in there, albeit at the low end. We usually recommend 3" for anything 250 WHP (300 Engine or Crank HP) or higher, so low to mid 200's in WHP is sufficient to take advantage af the 3" flow capability without suffering from loss of velocity. Suffice to say that if you need an exhaust, this one won't be TOO big.

Ok sorry bill i didnt want to make it seem like your stuff was cheap and is compared to other companies(because it is not, yours is the best), i was just thinking for a group buy you wanted numbers and i was giving numbers that seemed like a great deal for what you are getting you know. So it would be like a limited time thing thats all. If thats too low then i understand.
