Great to see that we may have potentially made it all the way to 11+ people on this group buy. The valve springs have been discounted to $227 USD, savings of about $40-$45 I think. They will not be reduced anymore, they are a one time discount that does not rely on the amount people in the group buy.

Okay... well, I need Valve Springs as well I guess.

EDIT: Okay, so from what i am being told... the head has to come off for the Valve Springs to be changed. If this is true (I was hoping it wasn't) then that screws up everything. If I'm taking off the Head, I wanna change Head Studs and upgrade my Gasket. HMMMM!

You don't have to worry about down time. If you choose Options 2, You pay for the core up front in combination with the GB price and when you send us your old cams, we'll refund the core cam charge. (No downtime)

I wonder if the valve spring costs are coming down as well?? That would be SWEET!!
Yes, we've reduced the price for our JBP valve springs. Other manufacturers' valve springs do not apply to the discount.

JBP..Would them there Springs be coming down a bit just as the Cams are?? Pretty please with sugar on top...lol
No. The springs are already put at rock bottom price.

No, the head does not need to come off, pending you use our custom spring compressor tool. Click Here

Also, those performing the cam install, we have 3 tools in stock for the first few customers for rental/purchase. Click Here.

Amazing... the Dealer should have something similar to this, Correct? If not, i may just rent yours and have a buddy do it. That's good news! If I don't have to take off the head everything becomes 100x's more simple!

I've used the dealers in-chassis valve spring installer tool. The kent-moore tool doesn't work on the firewall facing side. It hits the cowl of a cobalt. The tool was meant for a cavalier/sunfire.

ONLY our tool works without interference.

Yes, you're an Option 2 guy. We have 2 pairs of TriFlows done ready to ship!

--------------------------------------------

Option 1 guys, we have a problem. Option 2 guys, you're unaffected because you are receiving your cams reground. I got off the phone yesterday from GMPP and they've informed us that their stock on blank billets is nil. GMPP's contracted manufacturer is also out of stock and production on the blank billets is stagnent. GMPPs' been informed that their issued resupply date is probably end of March and even then, thats an open-ended promise by their manufacturer at best... Yeah, I know it sucks.

However, I've been in contact with a few foundry's in the surrounding area. I'm contemplating contracting out the work to have our camshafts blanks made locally. Which would definately be a lot quicker and not an open-ended promise. However, the price of the blanks may go up slightly. So now, these blanks are going to be cobalt specific, geniuine JBP spec'd cams. Also, with these custom billet blanks, we can provide better cams out of better material and exceed the JIS FC 25 specs of the GMPP cams.

Basically, what needs to be done at this point is we'd have to cast the cams, have them machined, heat treated and then ground. So far I'm estimating prices of $140-$150CDN/cam ($123-132USD)/cam. You're paying $220CDN now for blanks. With our blanks you'd be paying about $280CDN(est.) for blanks. A possible increase of $60CDN ($52USD). If the price of the blanks does exceed this amount. JBP will probably swallow the remainder of the cost: thats our comitment.

Since this GP is for you guys, I need iOption 1 ppls' feedback.

Do we:

a) wait for the GMPP cams?
b) start casting if the price is around $140-150CDN ($123-132USD)/cam?
c) switch to option 2?

How soon after the GB ends will you need the full amount?? I may end up being an option 1 guy, unless I can get a suggestion on how I could be an option 2 with VERY limited downtime. I only have one mode of transportation.

Both options have no downtime. We send the replacement cams first and then you send back your old cams. No downtime.

Ok im alittle confused. I have a few questions 1) if i bought these cams i can use them with just a tune no other supporting mods? - because right now im bone stock 2) i was planing to put GM stage 2 in my car this summer - with stage 2 i would then have to change springs? - i think thats what i was reading- 19 pages is alot to go thru half hour before work. I have a LITTLE cash to play around with this year and would like to take advange fo the group buy when i can. Thanks

EDIT: I will be doing more mods in the future but I figure I should jump on these cams before the GB is over. Since I'll probably want them soon or later anyways.

If you go with the Gm Stage 2, then you should get the valve springs as well. Other than that, you really should be fine. You may not see as much of an increase in performance as some others do their mod level, but you will definatly will still notice it. JBP can you chime in on this as well?

I hope so, that would be a great deal for everyone and could potentially add a lot more people into the group buy. Just have to see what JBP says.

No, the L61 cams are totally different grind and can't be included on this deal.

personally I don't mind paying a little bit more for blanks. I mean, when I thought I was going to pay 600+ before, so it's no biggie for me

No problem man, everyone knows that things pop up unexpectedly. Maybe you can put in your deposit and then see how long JBP will allow you to wait to pay off the rest of the balance. That way you can still get in on the GB discounted price, but not have to pay until a little later. Just a thought.

Being they dont have cams for the Option 1 guys...maybe you will be in luck. Im not going to pay my full amount till I know my cams are comming and im assuming thats how they are going to do it.

So whats the deal for the option 1 guys? What if we find GM blanks for you to grind?

And do we have to pay full at the end because if were not getting our product right away i dont think its fair to pay for them in full then either.
