Ok, so it seems as though Option 1 guys are cool about waiting for billets. Thats good.

Option 2 guys will get their cams shipped at the end of the GP as promised. Return your cores ASAP pls!!

I've already talked to our manufacturer and will have an answer tomorrow.

How soon do the Option 2 guys need to send our stock ones back? I'm going to get my new ones installed on Feb. 10th, is that too long?

Same here... so how long is too long? I still need to find out if my dealership can do mine without taking off the head. Anyone know what kind of Compression/PSI our stock head gasket and hear studs are rated to?

I'm heard of stock head gaskets busting around 20psi, so if the head is coming off anyways, why not invest in a little more now to save you a lot of headaches later down the line.

Unless your planning on pistons and other things soon. In that case I guess a few more months at high boost won't be so bad. I don't think you'll have any trouble with your current pulley size, but I was just thinking if you already had it off might as well

If I can get a projected shipping date on those cams, I will call up my dealership to make an appointment so I can get the cores right back to you. They already quoted me $300 at my dealership, which isn't too shabby. From what they tell me, they have the spring compressors and the GM Cam Holding Tool.

Option 2 guys, if you can return them the moment they are out of the car, that'd be great. We have two pairs ground ready to go, Feb 1st, however, we have a couple more guys who'll be waiting for theirs, and that means you guys to return the cores.

JBP, is one of the two sets for the Option 2 guys mine or is it first come first serve according to the list, or whoever pays first when the GB ends? I really hope that I am one of those two, I am even willing to pay now to be one of those two as I will need mine for Feb. 8th. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks.

Yes, np or at least until it comes time for us to pay for them.

Option 1 guys shipping time is up in the air right now. I have to wait until I hear from our blank manufacturers.

Option 2 guys, Edubs and DTM2188, you are the first to receive the cams. They will ship out Feb 1st.

Now for more Options! I'll need a list of those who need these following options:

3) JBP Springs
4) JBP Cam Holding Tool Rental
5) JBP Cam Holding Tool Purchase
6) JBP Chassis Valve Spring Compressor Tool Rental
7) JBP Chassis Valve Spring Compressor Tool Purchase

Update the list as follows:

1. 97 Z Me Go - PAID (Option 1, 3, 4, 6)

^^ This means that 97 Z Me Go wants Option 1, JBP Springs, JBP Cam holding Tool Rental and JBP Chassis Valve Spring Compressor Rental..

Thanks!

By the way it sounds, I may be putting Dan's reground cam in my car. lol...I should be paying in full that first week in Feb. and of course, my deposit will be dropped this friday.

How long of a wait will it be for those of us in Option 2 (with the order of JBP springs also) that are not one of the first two??

Your wait time is pretty short. With a turn around of 3 days now with grinding we should be able to get you cams before the end of 2nd week of Feb. JBP springs are in stock with 11 sets.

3) JBP Springs
4) JBP Cam Holding Tool Rental

2. DTM2188 - PAID (Option 2 & 3)
3.

Lets get the list updated guys...

What an honor to get my reground cams . JBP should have my stockers back in their hands by no later than Feb. 14th, since I'm getting the new ones put on on the 10th. So if you do end up getting mine, it shouldn't be too bad.

The price is at $395 USD with one more person definatly joining up this Friday, so if you were to join in as well, we would get the next level discount of $385 USD. A great deal!

Yes, the deposit is not refundable, so if you choose not to go with the cams, then you would lose the deposit money.
